Praying for you man. This appears to be a parable of the sower scenario, no roots, no moisture. Hoping the Lord guides you to full surrender here.
@Protestia
Brutal take and truly sad to see. Alistair doubles down in choosing to prioritize love for man over love for God and faithful obedience. When in conflict, obedience always wins.
@haymes_joshua
Well said. The mirage that sexuality = identity must end. To have your identity in anything other than your Creator makes virtually no sense.
Why would one want to spend eternity in damnation, in order to spend this short blip of time on earth pursuing their fleshly desires?

It’s pretty simple. Pro life makes exceptions for murder, Scripture is clear there are no exceptions, Abolitionism is the most faithful stance.

Well said brother.
Miley, I hope you take the opportunity to humble yourself before God’s word with an aim to crucify the flesh and glorify God. This is something we all must do, it’s not unique to LGBTQ folk.
We deserve hell, Christian. Therefore, be thankful for the infinite mercies God has shown you in comparison to that eternal fate. The mercies far outweigh any trial you’re facing today.
How to Address the Sin of Gluttony Amongst your Brother or Sister in Christ
1) Kindly point out that gluttony/being overweight is no less sinful than any other more commonly accepted sin
2) Point them to the author of our faith and how Christ died for all sins, not just some.

You’re confusing a simple oral confession with pure heart change that is truly regenerate. One can be assured of their salvation if they persevere in the faith, love the Lord, walk in obedience, walk in the light, etc. 1 John is a great proof text for assurance.
I’m noticing a trend where clear and direct speech appears to come across as unloving, even to other Christians. This is fundamentally flawed as Scripture is clear about rebuking falsities and sin, speaking truth with direct speech, letting your yes be yes, developing conviction

It’s because your work is a sham full of baseless accusations. Encourage you to repent as you consistently bear false witness, and that is a dangerous path to be on.

The difference here is that those fat and greedy people are (hopefully) fighting these sin issues in their life, with strength from the Holy Spirit. Leaning into a homosexual lifestyle that blasphemes God doesn’t represent that.
What Does a Meek Man Look Like?
By Paul Washer
1) Doesn’t live in fear, because he has a strong confidence and trust in the Lord, not man.
2) Delights himself in the Lord, not the world. Joyfully follows Christ.
3) Cultivates faithfulness in his community, without

Abandon “God told me.” While perhaps an earnest attempt to be in deep communion with the Lord, it reveals a deprivation of the Authority of Scripture and is devoid of truth, resting on the infallibility of man as authority instead.

Obesity is not genetic. Adopting and maintaining that type of mindset is simply neglecting our responsibility to steward our bodies and lives well and unto the Lord
What does it mean to be filled with the Spirit? (Eph 5:18)
-Let the Word control you
-Pursue a pure life
-Confess all known sin
-Die to self
-Surrender to God’s will
-Depend on His power in all things
In summary: Being filled with the spirit is living in the conscious presence
Reject the forces that encourage you to label yourself with a psychological diagnosis like bipolar, ADHD or OCD. Seek truth instead from Scripture and orient your life accordingly.
Being overweight without a battle to correct is sin, brothers and sisters. Make a plan today to pursue movement & nutritional discipline. Seek physical health, put the flesh to death with just as much intention as we do other areas of our lives.
Contentment is the inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, freely submitting to and taking pleasure in God’s disposal in every condition.

I’m so glad brother MacArthur’s comments are getting so much airtime here. It’s time that people wake up to the destructive facade known as psychology and the DSM.
Anxiety is seen as a respectable sin, yet I'm convinced is entirely blasphemous to God.
Scripture is replete with commands not to worry.
Choosing to be obedient rather than worry is just that - a choice.

Mike, I listened to the video and unfortunately your commentary explicitly states masturbation *may* not be sinful amongst single people if lust and self gratification isn’t involved. I can’t imagine a world where that’s compatible with God’s design for sexuality.

Our Christian lives shouldn’t be dominated by feelings. It’s always about objective truth from God’s word over our feelings. Feelings are deceitful.

Lol. The Bible is the Word of God so we’re actually glorifying God by being obedient. In your case, you’re worshipping a church that was created by sinful man and doesn’t look anything like what we see in scripture. That’s a dangerous place to be.
Yesterday a young man I’ve been evangelizing professed Christ is Lord. Praising God for his faithfulness to save. If y’all could include a short prayer in your day for his genuine repentance and perseverance as a saint, that would be greatly appreciated!

Anxiety lies and says it contributes to solving our problems. In reality, worrying has no connection to the outcome actually happening, and dishonors God along the way as we sin.

This is a helpful framework for addressing those who rebut by saying “well why attend a nonbeliever’s wedding then?” It’s about future union/dissolution.

Eastern Orthodoxy and Rome teach that Christians cannot have assurance of salvation. I’m thankful for the reformation where God made it clear that as believers we most certainly ought to have assurance of salvation, through faith in the blood of Christ.
