Jesus is bigger than your denomination: "38 John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone driving out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him because he wasn’t following us.” 39 “Don’t stop him,” said Jesus, “because there is no one who will perform a miracle in my name who can soon afterward speak evil of me. 40 For whoever is not against us is for us. 41 And whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you belong to Christ—truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward."- Mk 9:38–41.

I'm honored to hear my musings are a blessing brother. I'm my observation mature women (like my wife) are reasonably tethered to reality. But imagination is her home country. Emotion is her native tongue. It's self-discipline and love for God and her family that keeps her from floating away into her fears or fantasies like an untethered balloon. This is not a flaw it's a fact. If a man were this way we would rightly criticize him. But a woman? You may as well resent a deer for being easily startled. That's it's nature. I think some men resent women because they don't understand the first thing about them. This lack of understanding leads to harshness. 1 Peter 3:7 "7 You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered." and Colossians 3:19 (NIV): "Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them." Understanding. Avoiding harshness. I make a deliberate study of my wife and children. Half of husbandry is zoology. One must retain a child like innocence of imagination if they hope to understand women at all. God is pretty stern about resorting to harshness when "they don't make sense." Better to observe the invisible winds that are blowing the ballon and gently guide her back to safety than to pop the ballon. If you do this then God will pop you. Much like His threats to those who would mistreat children. It's millstone territory to be mean to women. Especially teenage girls for they are both children and women. Double danger of offending the Almighty. Gentleness and wisdom are needed. It really is fun brother. I don't mean to make it sound scary. "He who loves his wife loves himself." and anyway "Unless you become like a little child you will by no means enter the Kingdom of Heaven." Maintaining innocence of heart, a joyful spirit, and the gentleness that comes from true wisdom (see James 3:13 & Ecc 8:1) were always the way anyway. As a pastor I never judge a man by the amount of theological words he knows. I want to know two things: Is his wife radiant? Godly men have radiant wives. She is his shining glory. (1 Cor 11:7) Do all the children in his life involuntarily squeal with joy when he walks in the room? (a microcosm of Matt 21:16). It's almost like such a man would make a wise elder (1 Tim 3:1-7). It's funny brother I've never met a false prophet with a radiant wife and joyful children. The light of glory in their wives eyes have long gone out. The heavy millstone of pride is drowning them as they live. Their children have no joy. Once you see it you'll never unsee it.

On having a teenage daughter:
Imagine if you will a beautiful creature that has come to you from the land of pure emotion and boundless imagination. To her reality is arbitrary and you are the capricious demi-god who made the rules. When you say "fire is hot and ice is cold" she recoils in horror that you could have so made things. Why? Why would you do that? Don't you care that she feels fire should be cold and this is reasonable because she can imagine it to be so? Her friends likewise agree that because they feel it to be so, it could be so. They can clearly imagine it. But alas, you! You tyrant! You unfeeling fiend stand in the way. Brutish, unimaginative, unfeeling. Making decrees such as "No, you cannot tell me last minute that you want to spend the night at Sarahs house and have a party with a 'few of her friends' when her parents are out of town tonight it's not safe." Dangerous? Also what is time? Why would you (of all people!) create such horrid laws such as "danger" and "time"? Have you never had friends? Brutish, cold, unfeeling. Who could survive this? Not her. Friendless, hopeless. Also why would you call her friends "criminals and monsters"? It's clearly what you said. Well it's what you meant. *Cries, goes to speak with her mother* Mother: "Time is only somewhat real honey. Also why did you call her friends criminals?" It's delightful brother you'll have fun.

I hope @RobertKennedyJr makes every unhealthy thing I like illegal. I don’t have time to figure this stuff out. Just make it go away already. Meat, veggies or jail.

@Jetrpg @LostMyHats The Cretans were known for that in that specific time place and context it’s not some eternal fate. Paul even called them to repentance and faith believing they could and would change. It wasn’t some statement about ontology.

@ArmandDoma I didn’t see a bunch of posts from you decrying what’s been happening to the people dying in North Carolina. Why is that? Or the $700 to Maui victims?

@VitalikButerin @owocki @ameensol The millions of dead bodies make this statement as nasty and horrific as "Make Nazism/ Fascism great again." It's disgusting. It's not funny it's not cute it's not clever it's pure evil.

@balajis I mean sure, but if Trump starts tariffing the sauce out of anyone supporting China and insisting they build their factories here etc that could change.

@DWertzRPh @n_taj1 @reachjulieroys I agree, the congregation is responsible to hold the elders accountable. The problem is more elders don't teach that.

@docpresley2020 @n_taj1 @reachjulieroys Yea I totally believe in biblical eldership etc I just don't tie that to a church building. Why would we since like you said they usually met in homes in the Bible.
