@ShitpostGate
I think I’ve got that topped:
I went to a high school with an almost entirely minority population and we were the “Rebels”, complete with confederate uniform colors and all other sorts of confederate imagery and references. Even weirder, this was in California.
I’m blocking trolls right and left. Their accounts and posts are so similar that I’m convinced there’s some kind of political propaganda farm responsible for them.. and there’s a ton of them.
Fun with government entities:
Me: "I want to build a fence around this property. How high can it be?"
Guy at city building department counter: "Should be good up to 6 feet all around but go upstairs and check double check with Planning."
Me to lady at City Planning counter: "I
Just saw a 20 something wannabe Twitter personal finance guru posting about increasing his net worth over the last few years by an amount that defied belief, purportedly through real estate and other investing activities.
Ran his name and location to find a bunch of properties
@Investmentkage
These have to be fake numbers for engagement. Even financing 100k it would take a 34% interest rate to wind up with a $3000 payment for 96 months.
What is the cheapest oceanfront home for sale in the entire state of California?
And I don’t mean ocean view, or across the street from the ocean. I mean nothing out your back door but the beach and / or water.
This might be an investigation for

As someone who has done a lot of “fine dining” I can certify that the cuisine in such establishments is generally not anywhere near as flavorful or satisfying as good old down home ethnic food. Don’t confuse ambience or presentation with flavor.
@markminervini
Yeah yeah people have cars. Just own up to getting stumped and stop digging the hole.. and you have to listen to me, because I have an exotic car which gives me unassailable credibility. Right Mark?!
The life of a distressed property buyer:
I'm sitting here on a Saturday night browsing NOD filings (notices of default). I'm primarily a trustee's sale buyer, and these are properties that may be coming down the pike in about 4 months if the defaults aren't cured. However, we
@Cokedupoptions
Big news! One bitcoin is still one Bitcoin. Why are the crypto devotees constantly quoting their values in dollars? Couldn’t be that the only purpose for crypto is to convert it back into fiat could it? Naahh. Couldn’t be.
So you want to be a flipper?! Let me spill the tea on every property I have in progress:
Property 1: Just completed the eviction of the crackhead trespassers who had been using the place as a garbage dump / tweaker clubhouse 5 months after my taking ownership. About 10

Well if there’s one Miss Excel and a million of her followers it sounds a lot more like the future of work is mostly managing spreadsheets.
@2GuysTake
No, you didn’t just buy this at auction. In fact you took a loan out on this property in 2019. It also appears that you may have sold it in 2022.
@sweatystartup
The government guarantees one of these and not the other. People will write any kind of loan if someone shoulders the risk and there's simply no incentive to underwrite stringently in that situation. The government needs to get out of the loan backing business.
@TheJoeySwoll
He’s probably trying to figure out what the heck she’s doing.. because after 30 years of all different kinds of lifting I myself don’t have a clue.
Can I just skip the part where I build up a big real estate related Twitter following and jump right to the stage where I give highly questionable life advice all day?
@JHWeissmann
"Well-meaning influencers" is quite a euphemism for doomer engagement baiters who aim to serve up a particular audience what they want to hear, even if obviously untrue.
@ZeekArkham
I’m not a Trump fan but this kind of stuff would put me right off. I don’t need this amount of politics with my food or shopping. Just make the freaking pancakes or whatever.
Buyer’s agent this morning: “Home inspector says your 240 volt range outlet is putting out 12 volts.”
Me: “12? That seems not possible. If you said 120 that might make some sense”.
Agent: “Well, that’s what he says”.
Me: “Alright I’ll send an electrician right over”.
Who
If your agent is encouraging you to buy a house that you’re uncomfortable with at these rates by assuring you that rates are going to drop by X amount in X period of time and you’ll be able to refi out, you may want to rethink working with that agent.
How to lose money buying a property at foreclosure auction:
Most of the buyers you'll see at trustee's sales are the same ol salty dogs that have been out there for years, but every now and then we see starry eyed fresh faces pop up and buy a thing or two never to be seen again.
@AOC
@johnhawkinsrwn
Opting to not be in the presence of extremely volatile individuals who may cause others harm at any moment is not “discrimination”. It’s common sense.
I know these catchphrases are a bottomless well of fomentation for your most ardent supporters but when you trot these phrases

The fact that this is one of the wealthiest men in the country is exactly what lets you know that there's something "extremely bogus going on" in America.
@ShitpostGate
This was my ol’ alma mater. Honestly I never heard anyone second guess any of it in the entire 4 years I was there. We didn’t know enough history yet to know it was weird. I’ve talked about it with former students now as adults 20+ years later though and the irony is no longer
@Phil_Lewis_
So the idea is that you have some people in the community who encourage others to maybe not commit crimes and to behave reasonably? Yeah man, that's what every responsible citizen should be doing in every community. Being a good citizen shouldn't be some "special initiative".
California foreclosure auction week in review:
Slim pickins with plenty of competition as usual.
Kern County: 3 properties went back to bank, 0 sold to third parties.
LA County: 9 back to bank, 10 sold to third parties.
Orange County: 1 back to bank, 3 sold to third parties.
