Exactly, I mention it as red flag as it sounds like he is trying to set tone on whatever car they will announce, and it might disappoint (on range or price). I look at the RWD Model 3 as a benchmark. It has a 363-mile range and $35,000 post tax credit. Sub 30k vehicles should have a 250-mile range, Equinox EV has 319 miles and starts at $26,100 post tax credit. Once tax credit goes away that price will go up some, so a 180 mile car for low 20s would be interesting to see go main stream. I mean, Cybercab is effectively that, right? Lower mileage city vehicle, cheap to build.
