Congress needs to enact the Open App Markets Act! @MarshaBlackburn @SenBlumenthal.
This is the post Apple cited when banning the Epic Games Store from competing with the iOS App Store under Europe's new DMA law. Criticism of Apple = untrustworthiness, in Apple leadership's bleak vision of their future relationship with app developers.

Critics are thinking too small. If we defund the whole legislative branch now (~$7B), we can pay off the national debt in 5000 years or so.
Raising the Congressional salary from $174,000 to $180,600 is obviously reasonable after 15 years of no raises, and people raging against this as corrupt are not thinking clearly. Do you think we get better results from *not* paying members adequately? Huh?.

@JoshuaSteinman @DavidSacks @rabois @RepGallagher See the bill text. Hostile foreign adversary is defined by statute, 10 USC ยง 4872, and would require an act of Congress to change. A company subject to the bill must be controlled/owned/domiciled in one of these countries AND designated by the President.

1) Foundation grants are public record. 2) Hewlett and Omidyar have funded a wide range of center-right groups in the past, like AEI and Heritage. 3) While @AmerCompass is certainly populist, and I donโt always agree with them, itโs incorrect to lump them in with the MAGA faction.
SCOOP: A conservative group behind the authoritarian project to set up a second Trump administration accidentally revealed its top donors. Two are famously liberal: The William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, and the Omidyar Network. Me @thedailybeast .

We should pay elected officials a lot more actually
With the U.S. drowning in $36 TRILLION of debt, Congress just gave themselves a shiny raiseโbumping their salaries from $174,000 to $243,300. Meanwhile, the median income for everyday Americans sits at $80,000. Seriously, how does this math work? The people writing the budget.

Net neutrality activism was a psyop by edge providers trying to externalize infrastructure costs. In this house, @AjitPai is a hero. End of story.
Question for @elonmusk: Why does #netneutrality have a loading emoji attached when it has been amply demonstrated by *years* of the Net Neutrality rule being overturned that it did not lead to a slower Internet?. This is some woke bullshit.

Policy details often get obscured by misleading rhetoric. @BrendanCarrFCC has the goods on the TikTok bill, and why it isn't a "ban" or a 1A issue:.
@stillgray The bill actually takes a very smart, narrow, and targeted approach. โก๏ธIt does not provide any authority to go after any individual user. โก๏ธIt does not give the Administration authority to ban or censor any app or foreign investor it wants. It applies only to TikTok (which

We need a โCalifornia railroad tycoonโ board game, where players compete or team up-as environmentalists, unions, and local bureaucrats-to stop it from being built.
The Fresno River Viaduct in Madera County is one of the first completed high-speed rail structures. At nearly 1,600 feet long, high-speed trains will travel over the riverbed and will run parallel with the BNSF Railroad. #BuildHSR
