@OrwellNGoode My most recent build seemed to work fine, but would randomly crash to blue screen maybe once every few days. I did so many part swaps and diagnostics, couldn't figure it out. The crashes became less frequent, and finally went away, without my intervention. Windows 11?

@rickasaurus I was close to two friends. Our trio basically hung out nightly playing basketball or video games. We were all straight A students. 2nd year of university the one friend got into marijuana, then shrooms, then heroin. Our trio's down to two.

@floridanow1 @Morbidful And yet, they let him off the hook. "The kid didn't mean to do it - he was joyriding." The kid (debatable) blew a red light, hit and seriously injured someone, and ran off. He may not have meant to hit her, but his irresponsibility caused it, and he fled the consequences.

@rickasaurus He was tolerable on marijuana, but boring AF since he never wanted to do anything else any more. But the shrooms and heroin cooked him. He dropped out and went back to live with his parents. Haven't heard from him in over 10 years. Guy was brilliant, and had a future.

@biocompound Even once girls "caught up" to boys, there continues to be far more support for ensuring girls are doing well than boys, which has resulted in lopsided achievement. This has already started filtering into society at large, but will become more evident over the next 2 decades.

@GarbageHuman23 It sadly does make a difference. In my 20s I was gifted a gold ring from my late grandfather. It resembles a wedding band, and on a whim I slipped it onto the 4th finger of my left hand. There was a noticeable uptick of attention.

When he's on one of those tirades, his regular crew gets quiet, and the guests are usually polite and say something like "I get where you're coming from."

@GayBearRes Yes, can confirm. Farmers tend to be the worst, in my experience. They come in with a job that'll take an hour or so. Our rate is $110/hour to cover wages and overhead. They expect $20. Then they say "can't you just <insert dangerous shortcut idea>?"

@Red_Jeep_Guy @lporiginalg I grew up where the mix was about 50% White, 30% Native and 20% Asian. Race had zero bearing on anything at the time. This was the 90s which, at least in our neck of the woods, was peak equality. Now EVERYTHING is about race again.
