I'm doing my stupid walk through a woods, and at one point the path led to two trees, that you step between. I put my hands on both, one was warm and dry and the other was cold and wet (relevant? Idk!) and stepped through to follow the path on. Thinking back, the sun went in

sounded ... over there? Like they were in another part of the woods, hard to describe unless you've been there but they're chirping and singing all around but here it was like they were behind glass. By this point, I'm on a path thats more of a narrow trail, I can't see ahead

The next path faded out into woodland. I remember thinking 'This is weird' but I've gotten lost before so I went back, noted where I was, put rocks down to mark where I'd been, and took the next path. Walking that one, I noticed I hadn't heard any people in a while, and the birds

at that exact point. It got really overcast and bit cold and damp. I followed the path on for a bit, then it branched off, and I went ... left? I think? After a while, that path just petered out into dense woodland, no path. So I turned around and went back to the fork

I don't think there's any other retailer that buy in the sheer bulk quantites that Penneys / Primark do, or can. But if you think their clothes are made in the Penneys Factory and your M&S or boutique clothing item isn't made nearby or even in the same place - welp

Just because one thing costs more does not mean it was ethically made or sourced, it means someone somewhere made more money off you and off the person who made it, and a levy on ‘cheap’ clothes won’t fix that.

Penneys clothing being disposable / shortlived is a hangover from the 80's and 90's I think, their clothes are definitely as good as anywhere else, they're cheaper because they buy in massive bulk quantities.

THE POINT IS that a few people are missing THE POINT IS a levy on cheap clothes to stop us buying them / reduce demand for them ONLY PUNISHES THE PEOPLE WHO RELY ON THEM, the factory workers AND the end consumer. Its the people who PROFIT FROM IT who are the issue!
