#LTN is the biggest public-policy win. Considering what it does, it is incredibly easy. Literally just an ET(R)O and some cheap point-closures. More should be spent on engagement, but at the end of the day the ET(R)O is meant to be the engagement itself.

One Ealing etc NOW say they never promised it would sort the traffic, ofc these roads were congested before LTNs & they’re still congested now, congestion is just a fact of life in Ealing. In which case, what was the point of flooding traffic back into every minor street too?

Takeaways: 1. All solutions to car congestion involve making it slightly less convenient to drive 2. Not everyone is going to like this.

Oxford friends: Now’s the time to tell the council you want to keep these current levels of low traffic in your neighbourhood. You can do so by responding to the survey here, which includes Low Traffic Neighbourhoods.

I did my little bit to get an ostensibly climate-minded council elected. Where is it?

For fans of 'Slow TV' here's the Mellison Rd / Trevelyan Rd in #Tooting this afternoon This is a route motorists use to avoid the A24 and Tooting Broadway junction This isn't caused by the CS7 cycle lane, it's just back to normal now the LTN is gone
