I’m sorry, but that’s just completely untrue. To qualify you had to be in receipt of Pension Credit, Universal Credit, Income Support, income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance or income-related Employment and Support Allowance. Do they sound like ‘rich pensioners’ to you?

Police at Manchester Airport are now refusing to carry weapons in protest against how badly the officers in last week’s violent assault were treated. I don’t blame them. This puts the airport at a real risk of terrorism. We need to protect the protectors.

11.4 million pensioners are affected and only 1.4 million will keep the WFP. Those other 10 million pensioners are not rich. 99.99% of them will be living on a very low state pension. This decision will hit them hard and quite frankly, it is a disgusting decision.

The winter fuel payments will be restricted to those on pension credits or other means-tested benefits. Those struggling to pay inflated energy bills on just the basic pension are even worse off than those on pension credit, as they are also denied the Warm Home Discount.

BREAKING NEWS: Anjem Choudary, the leader of the banned terror group al-Muhajiroun, has been jailed for a minimum of 28 years.
He was found guilty of directing the group through online meetings.
The sentence means that Choudary cannot apply for parole until he is 85 years old
