As a retired teacher of 40 years experience may I say that misleading the public will do your cause no good at all.
SUPPLY (cover) teachers are not paid for the holidays, permanent teachers are. Supply teachers get more per day, but in a full year they get the same.

I don’t doubt it. This all hinges on the fact that if you fail safeguarding you’re classified as a failing school, irrespective of anything else. TOTALLY unfair - you should be told why you failed, and be given the chance to correct it.

My son is a deputy head in a primary school. He teaches one afternoon a week. Last week when he got back yo his office following his teaching there were 36 emails from parents waiting for him, all “demanding” an immediate response.
Part of the problem !!!

Something positive. My wife was taken to A&E by ambulance this afternoon with severe back pain. (She couldn’t move!)
She had to wait less than 3 hours and was seen by 3 different people in that time.
Excellent at every stage.
We can’t afford to lose this!

Time everyone understood how schools see “fully funded”. A pay rise is ONLY fully funded if a school receives enough extra money from their source of money (Government, L.E.A., Trust) to pay the extra salaries of the teachers at that school.
