Spot on. I’ve got college dropout friends who are bottom-mid of the totem pole but know their way around a street/in a drug deal.

Also… bars are a horrible atmosphere for reading. Loud, pumped with pop hits, not many spots to sit or recline, low light.

Got full time remote work approved a few months ago when everybody else was afraid to ask bc layoffs.
Some people did get laid off but it basically had 0 overlap w WFH. Now they all go in + have no way out. Meanwhile I sit at home working on side biz/hobbies during off hours.

I think this is spot on. Know so many in my cohort with chronic disease or “mental illness”. This is what pushes people to look into alt health. Same for me personally. You get let down by the doctors once or twice and you realize you have to go about it on your own

No benefit in terms of what? I’ve noticed 6.5 almost always feels better than 8 or 8.5 but I think I convince myself my brain won’t operate as well and I handicap myself.
Does extra sleep over 6.5 help at all with memory formation and working memory ?

Nobody seriously reads in college. The few that do are intensely driven and smart. In general I find the people in the harder majors (STEM) are both more intellectually driven and more intelligent than the non-STEM counterparts.
