Would it really be that difficult for MLB clubs to invest in dorm-style housing in each minor league ballpark? not a luxury apartment building, just dorms. Bunk beds even. It’s not luxury, it’s minor league baseball it’s not supposed to be, but at least it’s something and free.

The 2023 A’s are absolutely nothing like any of the Orioles teams of the last 5 years. The O’s had a targeted plan to build a perennial contender, which seems to be working even if you don’t like the methods.
The A’s gutted a team, stadium, and fanbase to move to a new city.

Even with host families being an option, why not just provide housing at the stadiums? No commute for players, 24/7 access to training facilities, in the off-season rent it out as Air BnB for some additional revenue. Feels like a no brainer to me
