I'm not gonna dunk on the person, don't worry, but I do wish more people try rhythm games that cost money, even pirating it isn't bad as long as you get to experience something that's not a community rhythm game only.

The worst part of Masae's side of the story is that to a regular person/viewer, it seems like a normal confession but to a viewer it's a genuine stab in the heart knowing that the emotions within the videos were probably very genuine.

There's an interesting thing that Mojang attempted which was a massive rework of PvP through a different version, I think it was called Combat Test. I really wish they kept going forward with that idea since I feel like it had some merits to it.

because of this, you don't really have this consistency. Couple it with charting guidelines and you have a game with a strict style.
But games like DJMAX make the game more than the gameplay. Yes it's also just as fun, but now the game is so much more cohesive with each part

yes, support the devs, but the reason why most community rg mains don't like the idea of paying for rhythm games is because the disconnect between the gameplay and the things surrounding it.
community rgs make the gameplay the main thing, because charts are made by anyone but

around 2022 when I started to see more arcade rgs I quickly realised that rhythm games were just as valid as an artform as a story game or even an art piece.
the feeling of being a dj, the wackiness of pushing buttons around you, no other game lets you do that shit.

also, yes I think most (not all) of the osu community are very elitist, but that doesn't mean we should also be elitist
however it is funny to make fun of them. support the artists man. listen to their work or preach about them. if you can't buy stuff support them in other ways.
