Today, our teams provided first aid to a 66-year-old man who is battling cancer. Due to the deterioration of his health condition, we urgently transferred him to Idlib University Hospital.

Unfortunately, when female oncologists choose to start a family they are less likely to take on leadership roles, be senior authors or be invited to speak nationally or internationally. This needs to change.

Women in medicine need to hear that we can still have fulfilling, successful careers even if we have children during training. We don't have to wait until our training is over to start our families.

SAMS has concluded its mission focused on neurological care performing 43 surgeries targeting nerve, head, and spinal injuries, 33 of which were resolving serious issues.
SAMS provided $1.2 million worth of neurosurgical supplies to facilities in need.
