This week I gave a very tired bee in my hallway a little sugared water on a tea spoon. It flew off after a nice drink. An hour later another bee (or the same one?) turned up, then an hour later another. It seemed I'd turned into a bee bar for the evening.

A very productive

site investigation with my colleague today. Barton on Sea to the New Forest. Some photos need permission to use in public or are on the camera. But this was a clear T4 tornado with path length of around 10-11km before dark scuppered us.

I did it. I proved that should you so wish, you can walk from Fleet, Hampshire to Coventry City centre via waterways.
Basingstoke canal - River Wey - River Thames-Oxford canal- Coventry canal.
Its quite a long way though, so I'd choose nice weather. 😆

I remember my daughter as a preschooler. Needed steroids for her chest infection/asthma.
I'll never forget her steroid induced hyperactivity at the hospital and every other patient staring in horror as this small vomity child bounced off the walls in wheezy gleefulness.

Probably making landfall around West Beach, fairly weak, it looks to have strengthened in Wick, before weakening again. Provisional rating (subject to change after more analysis!) briefly T2, mostly T1. Provisional length c. 3.5km.

I can sincerely say that this is not something I wanted to see, especially coming so hot on the heels of the Jersey tornado which saw gut wrenching consequences for many people on the island.

So many responses saying use them for charity.
The salvageable ones are. But when I did a Reading salvage, the majority of tents were unusable. Slashed, burned, urinated and puked in. Drugs left in them. I cried at the waste.
Volunteers do their best, but it is soul destroying.

surveying damage close to Wrays, near Horley, Surrey. A 3km definite tornado track found (so far). Early analysis suggests T3, still to be confirmed.

Notable for copper beech tree top which travelled 75m and debris that flew hundreds of meters.

Before this year, I'd not personally seen a roof off a house from a tornado in my 16 years of storm damage mapping. I've seen three seperate incidents this year and we know that this happened in Leitrim, Ireland too.
This autumn/winters storms have been severe.

I did it. I got to the end 😁. Many, many miles of deep slippery mud (in Sept! 😱), navigation issues in the dark (it's self navigated and very tricky through woodland) and a t storm. But thoroughly enjoyable.

A lot of data to process, but initial estimates are of a T2/T3 tornado and a provisional damage path of 3.5km. These may be revised when analysed further and a return visit may be made.
