It has some pitfalls though! Many professionals go on to think "well this worked for me" or "I went through the same and I was fine" or whatever. It's sometimes hard to separate our own experience from a patients.

Was at work (at a night club) and this OKCupid date wanted to meet up. We were going to a bar after work so I said meet me there. She showed up on coke, meth, and drunk. Was outrageous, got kicked out. Ppl kept saying "your girlfriend..." I'd just met her for the 1st time!

I was in the British Army when Iraq and Afghanistan kicked off, and one of the main reasons I got out was I saw the blatant lies and how we were expected to eat it up, no questions. No one could even tell me why we were invading. It's only gotten worse since then.

Have you heard of the AESHA project in Vancouver? It’s a longitudinal research project where public health dr’s, nurses, social workers, etc interview and follow sex workers, and the info they gain is used to write laws, policy, etc. It’s all word of mouth to get volunteers...
