I noticed a huge change in attitude toward my internal products when I stopped framing it as “AI” and started framing it as “augmented intelligence” or “intelligent assistant.” Symbolism and hype does a lot to keep people from even wanting to take part in the conversation

That RAG alone is sufficient. There’s so much more to retrieval. I think we’ll also come to understand that the true power of LMs is not natural language to natural language, but rather natural language to formal language, and vise versa

Yes 100%. I’m calling it now, we will see a resurgence of Prolog and other logic programming languages. Knowledge graphs are going to see huge growth now that relations are easy to discern from text using LLMs
The integration of heuristics & algorithms with LLM generation will lead to a geometric increase in AI FUNCTION (not potential, this is potential realization) in the very short term.
A lot of older cognitive programming / AI techniques will see a Renaissance when paired w/ LLMs.

I don't get this take. They are clearly being crushed. And last I checked, you can't play a trumpet or guitar on an iPad (you can certainly imitate it w/ GarageBand though, which is not really a flex IMO)
