I hope you, be it as a Jew or "As-A-Jew", never know a world without Israel.
A few things I know about @HannahEinbinder that she probably doesn’t: The name Einbinder (“bookbinder” in Yiddish) likely comes from the Russian Empire, where Jews were forced to adopt surnames. The rich could pay for names like “Goldberg,” while ordinary people had no choice.

“UN inquiry finds Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.” Almost 50 years after 1975 UN resolution ‘Zionism is racism’ - the UN continues to spearhead & arm an 8th front of a raging existential war. Zionism is a progressive, anti-colonialist, national liberation movement,

It’s the frustration resulting from this global unfairness that made Jews revive their state. It’s this unfairness that keeps Jews seeing how valuable their state is.
As an Iraqi, I survived Saddam Hussain’s brutality. As a Lebanese, I survived Lebanon’s bloody civil war, Assad’s tyranny, and Hezbollah’s iron fist. In all my life, not a single European stood with Iraqis or Lebanese against their killers. Now, all those who remained silent then

What do you know! Taipei is singing again. If you are in the neighborhood, hop in for a free concert. The music emanating from this stage, celebrating friendship and free press, may be a greater deterrence than bombers and destroyers. @bentriderdeb @SeanScanlan

I wish I was a believer, so I could pray to some deity and beg Her to shield and protect each one of these boys, and return them safely to their parents, their children and their people. Ten La'Hem Lashuv Hallom - Let them come home.
Over 130,000 reservists have been called up for the operation—one of the largest mobilizations in Israel’s history. The IDF says turnout rates are high, with 75–85% of those summoned reporting for duty so far.

The reason I mentioned Reform congregations in Los Angeles is simple: readers will naturally ask, Where did Hannah Einbinder acquire such animosity toward her own people? In a recent interview, she describes her upbringing in LA, where her family belonged to Temple Isaiah on Pico
Further, no one respects someone who invokes her “religion and culture” yet knows nothing about them. She has forgotten that her grandfather—and his before him—recited after every meal: “The Merciful One, may He lead us in sovereignty to our land.” Some Reform congregations in

@Variety Yeah it's actually NOT our obligation to distinguish any such thing for antisemites...their bigotry and hatred is their problem, not ours. You are a pathetic self flagellating loser Hannah, and no matter how much you try, it will never be enough for them... They still won't like

Professor Judea Pearl writes about how the current data-crunching approach to machine learning misses an essential element of human intelligence.
@yudapearl @DongNguyeb I'm sure you have written extensively about this, but if it's possible can you explain this concept in a generally intuitive way? Does this method also work if our causal assumptions are wrong?

Einbinder’s public comments made Jews “so much less safe than anything the Israeli government is doing.” Einbinder concluded her remarks by saying, “Go Birds, f—k ICE and free Palestine.”

While I would never act to prevent anyone from sharing their views, repugnant as I find them, I wish to ask this very simple, very serious question. It is not rhetorical, nor is it glib or abrasive. For me it is something of a mystery I wish to see unraveled: why, for almost two

To consummate my Bar-Mitzvah, several old friends joined me in Havdala last night (a blessing for transitioning from the holy to the mundane). As we sang "Ozzi V'Zimrat Yah", I reminded everyone that this is the earliest song written in the Middle East that is still sung today.
I had a profoundly uplifting experience yesterday, standing in Beverly Hills Synagogue, chanting my Bar-Mitzva Haftara, the same way I chanted it in 1949, in my hometown of Bnei Brak, in war stricken Israel, chanting Isaiah's consoling prophecy: "Arise, Shine, for Your Light Has

Excellent question. What's to stop Palestinian from playing the taqqiya game (as they did in Oslo) is precisely what prevented every Palestinian leader from uttering the words "two peoples" or "no more claims", even in English -- he would be removed before saying "taqqiya" in
@yudapearl Why not? What’s to stop them from accepting it on paper in English while reassuring their people in Arabic that the agreement is merely taqqiya?
