Expect a pushback from the Malign-Israel Lobby. The Hebron initiative does not fit the "Ugly Israel" picture the Lobby loves to paint. I will support it as much as I can, despite @MairavZ efforts to discredit it -- it's the first glimpse of peace we hear from grass root.
Palestinians in Hebron have no idea who these sheikhs are. And this is an opinion piece, not reportage.

If true, then this humble statement by the five Sheikhs carries more weight than 50 years of shuttle diplomacy, conflict resolution, Oslo, and Camp David put together. Why? Because it smashes the Palestinian ethos of rejectionism. Let's hope more will follow.
