@AndrewPerpetua
reminds me of USSR times: a tractor factory built them, and afterwards dismantled so that they could build another. They did not get parts from anywhere and needed to meet 5 year plan production goals whatever it took.
@secretsqrl123
I just hope all the promises of European countries and US turn into reality fast and do not remain empty words. There has been so much political posturing going around - it needs to end.
@DefMon3
@h_bocklet
@YaKiss7
the thing is he is the man chosen - and us bitching about it will likely not help Ukraine, rather the opposite. And at least for me that is the main point - helping Ukraine
Ukraine is defending, Russia is the aggressor. We should make Ukraine defense rock solid so that Russia gives up. They can simply stop, Ukraine does not have that option.
Anything else only prolongs this war and creates huge suffering on both sides.
@PaulConRO
scary indeed. If EU/USA had stepped up fast enough, this would not have happened. Necessity is the mother of invention. So now one more genie is out of the bottle - thanks :/
what do you suppose Trump does once he is convicted? I cant see him accepting jail, no way.
But where would he run? Putin? I wonder if even Trump is that stupid - but what else has he got? North Korea?
@thejackhopkins
Finland here.
I find it amazing that anyone could even consider president (or anyone else) to have immunity from crimes.
I can understand all kind of shady deals done ’in the interest of nation’ but immunity is something different.
@astraiaintel
the problem with dictatorships is that they have no perceived way out. All they have is double or nothing, because the loss is personal. Thus when losing, they do, and continue doing, things which are not in the nations interest.
putin will not stop - he needs to be stopped. Ukraine needs our help to do it. The Budapest gang should feel especially ashamed and stand up. Until Russia is stopped, both sides of the war will continue to suffer immensely.
@ruinwanderer
I sure did not. I simply cant understand why US is so unwilling to support Ukraine when they are doing the heavy lifting. To me it would be no-brainer, but no… and I cant understand why.
@FredFellaIMO
I live in Finland, it is so incredibly painful to watch from the sideline how US manages to be so confused. Lets hope you wake up and clean out the lunatics and power hungry grifters.
@FredFellaIMO
@jurgen_nauditt
I just hope this is not another conman move. Sadly nothing he says can be trusted so lets see what is the actual outcome. Trust once lost is very hard to gain back.
This also applies to eg Budapest signer countries…
@secretsqrl123
as an outsider it is hard to understand how deadlocked US politics is now. I suppose it is this very black and white thinking between the parties. And Russia is taking full advantage… somehow US manages to forget its allies too.
@Der_Daunt
Hi, youre only tracking likes. I wonder if the retweets, bookmarks and quotes disappear too… at least my retweet was gone together with my like
@FredFellaIMO
they’re so messed up right now I dont dare to hope before they’ve actually managed to conclude something solid. I can sort of understand why maga is messing it up, but I would imagine Biden could do something if he wanted.
@MagellanAzorean
should we investigate this NAFO a bit too and create materials/documents to share with these other investigators. Like LOTS of material…
@XP0901
we are stupid dogs barking at whatever is handy, not generals in charge of Ukraine defense.
So maybe let us bark while the pro do what they think is best. Woof
@SiSu_Eagle78
Take care, at least it sounds they are trying to help. Xitter doomsxrolling is addictive, but… take care of yourself first. The world will take care of itself, one way or another
@secretsqrl123
the only explanation that makes sense to me is that USA is using Ukraine to annihilate Russia and we are not there yet. If Russia would give up too soon, they just might recover in a decade or so. This way they will be buried very deep, and the price is that Ukraine bleeds.
@ramieero
@canines4life
oon Rami ihan samoilla linjoilla, en tajua kuinka tyypit hinkkaa sitä tai tätä kulmaa, ikäänkuin niillä olis väliä verrattuna tohon hyökkäykseen.
As a Finnish person and a European, I would like to congratulate the Ukrainians on attacking oil refineries in russia. I would advise them to attack some more. Lots more. I would willingly pay more pence at the petrol pump to save Ukraine and let children have electricity.
@BonkGearMetal
would there be a way to also see how much of the military aid stays inside US? I assume some of EU aid results in orders of US weapons… benefiting US economy.
@front_ukrainian
not an expert but maybe hit the supply trains on bridge instead? I got the impression bridge itself is difficult to destroy so maybe destroying it would be inefficient?
@secretsqrl123
Finnish dude here.
Even if there are just bad choices, I would still use my vote, and pick the ’lesser evil’.
not voting because there is no-one I like gives more power to the extreme assholes who certainly will vote.
@HamstorAU
@GrantvsMaximvs
thinking ahead: Now it may not matter much but when Ukraine pushes then it will. Ukraine is handicapped by these funny restrictions. Strange that defending country can not strike back on the attacker except on own ground.
@PaulConRO
I do not see Russia stopping before they are badly hurt, and Russia here means Moscow and St Petersburg, maybe some other big cities too.
All the rest - why would the kleptocracy care what happens to peasant rabble? They are to be exploited.
@secretsqrl123
At least some misunderstand the ’freedom’ concept. Fighting on behalf of the defender is not the same as fighting for the aggressor.
it is as if they think freedom means it is OK to rob someone on the street just as well to defend that person being robbed.
@TheNihlOnExile
@4thShitPosting
In Finland we use combined heat & power in more densely populated areas and it works reliably and is energy efficient. When it is designed and maintained well.
I suppose it only makes sense if winters are cold enough so that heating demand is big enough.
@JayinKyiv
@jurgen_nauditt
if the german voters will not step up, Scholtz will continue on current path. Why change?
Thus German people should step up and apply pressure, similar to what US Mike Johnson received, in order for something to change
@xgabrielx36
@wartranslated
right. So the only question is ’since we happen to have them and Russia is attacking Ukraine still, why not fund Ukraine defense with that? Russia will end up having to pay compensations over the amount anyway’. So just fork them over to Ukraine already!
@throught_hills
directly leading to… just live the rhetoric. Again an attempt to blame the victim.
Russia attacked, they are guilty and should just leave Ukraine soil. Simple.
@SAMMA438
@IAPonomarenko
there is no point looking back, only forward, while the war is still on. More help for Ukraine is good - lets just get it moving ASAP
@SlavaNAFO69
you are clearly not aware of principles of agile development and mvp. First you have the toilet (mvp), then you later add a bucket for water to flush and so on.
@BaddCompani
@Marguerite00
I suppose many dont understand how special times we are living. They keep doing the ’same old’ out of habit, never considering what is at stake here
