Woke up to this tragic news from my cousin, a life-long friend of Artem's. Together they'd been fighting for over a hundred days. To see Ukraine's brightest generation take these losses leaves an irreparable hole. Their entire lives have been defined by this prolonged fight.
Artem Dymyd who was killed in action in the Donetsk region yesterday, eyewitnesses the Maydan killings on Feb 20 2014 & was a veteran of the russian war in the Donbas. On Feb 24 2022 he was in the US, but immediately left for Ukraine & went straight to the frontlines. RIP
