I love being stuck on a creative aspect of a problem. I'll take a break to sweep or vacuum or do dishes and an idea will come to me. I used to have to go hang with the smokers to get the same unconscious thought time. I'm sure my lungs thank me.

that's not what IQ is, and it's probably the most robust predictor of life outcome of any metric we have. but what people forget is that these stats are all in aggregate. there are 160 IQ nobodies who live good, if impoverished, lives; they're simply rare. it's probably not you.
