@yungswanky @dummyjig There’s an episode they had to bury where they made a really powerful bomb out of common household items.

Thought you all were talking about how you were going to sink a carrier. What’s the matter? Did someone find out what a real military looks like?.
Yemen didn’t kill a single person when they were taking over those ships and rerouting them out of the Red Sea. America killed an entire crew of Yemenis in the water today. Muslims have always done everything possible to avoid unnecessary killing while America tries to kill.

@apatelATL @tanayj It’s how Tyrion figured out who was passing information to Cersei out of the Small Council.

@ArmandDoma You really think Bill O’Reilly would do that? Just go on the Internet and tell lies?.

@bdquinn Media frustration with Biden being levelheaded and right about this is yet more evidence they just want Trump back.

@ChirilovMatei @JackDetsch Don’t be ridiculous. Russia absolutely cannot afford to lose 2 million fighting-age men (equivalent to double their entire active personnel roster) just to take Ukraine.

@DanDeBrak Can’t be understated that most Americans in January 2024 did not know Donald Trump was going to run for office again.

@opinonhaver Also, there is a considerable block of conservatives who do want legal immigrants deported.

@BusinessmanLego Isn’t one of the first things they ask you during a life insurance quote “do you smoke?”.

@CrankyFed If you’re categorically opposed to the death penalty in all cases, I get it. Otherwise, “me reaping”.

@golikehellmachi I had never seen these before—this is one of the worst product designs I’ve ever seen.

@BourbonDienasty @agraybee Temperance was a ludicrously horseshoe issue. Henry Ford, like many industrialists, felt drink was costing him productivity. Many Communists of the time believed alcohol was a capitalist plot to subvert working class power.

@ArmandDoma I think the point of the scene is no one had ever applied “classically trained” high-pressure sales tactics to penny stock before. Whether that’s true or not is an open question.

@agraybee It was really funny watching journalists in the opening weeks of the Biden admin lose their shit that no one important was leaking to them anymore.

@LittleMammith People can’t grasp that “we could have made different decisions that would have avoided this dilemma” doesn’t mean “there is never a need to confront a dilemma”.

@un_a_valeable So much of American historiography of Vietnam doesn’t even acknowledge the NVA regular army as an entity, let alone the ARVN.

@ArmandDoma Leftists routinely accuse Democrats of not wanting to actually win elections and just fundraising off being the minority party, and I wonder where they might have gotten the idea that is something political parties do.

@donald_mclees @Noahpinion The United States has taken no military action against Russia (even after Russia shot down one of our drones, which is an act of war).

@canderaid Reminds me of 2021(?) when a bunch of people got their bank accounts locked and put on a no-fly list because they didn’t know it was illegal to donate to Hezbollah.

@Authw8 @IRHotTakes Yep. A minority bloc backed by the remnants of the king’s court rejects the election results and has seized the town keep. Roll for initiative.

@agraybee One of the key jokes of the 21 Jump Street reboot is about Channing Tatum’s character falsely assuming casual homophobia would make him popular with the then-late-millennial high school crowd.

@dieworkwear Growing up and becoming normal sucks. We’ve had movies about this for decades. What’s (relatively) new is the atomization. Some of it we do to ourselves—if he joins a book club or something he’ll get a lot of the socialization back.

@agraybee No no no, you have it all wrong. Bernie has the same politics as Le Pen, because he would be far right in Europe.

@dieworkwear It’s a cargo cult. The belief is that wearing expensive-looking clothes will imbue you with money. Sometimes that’s about infiltrating upper-class spaces (good luck). Sometimes it’s more supernatural.

@michaeldweiss I can’t remember the last time the doom faction was right about something in Ukraine. They wanted to pull out of Bakhmut. They said Ukraine was out of ammo. They said we needed to freeze the conflict.
