Mate, this season we lost against BVB, Bremen and Leipzig in Supercup at home, last season we got dunked on by SCF in Pokal and lost crucial points in title deciding games (Hoffe & Leipzig). Also failed to put City under any serious pressure in the 2nd leg. Before that Villareal

Great answer. That 3 month peak was unbelievable. I would argue it was better than any version of Robben and Ribery, that‘s how good he was (ofc I‘m strictly talking about those 3 months, and ofc Robben and Ribery consistently fried even bigger fish throughout their careers)

What Xabi did is more impressive if we are honest. Jupp was an established coach and did it with Neuer, Lahm and Robben at club with a much bigger tradition and budget. Xabi is a young upcoming coach who did it with Hradecky, Frimpong and Hofmann at a club nicknamed Neverkusen
