Yes, he wasn't technically her stepdad, but he was there when she was quite young and a father to her siblings, and dated mom. On a psychological level, he was a parental figure. If people have to split hairs as the only defense, that's weak.

As a reader who feels emotions strongly, and suffers from depression and anxiety, as well as has trauma, the wrong book at the wrong time becomes dangerous to me. I refuse any argument that insists my (little, heh) life isn't worth a warning to preserve it.
