Might I also add that the amount of Lib Dem signs outside houses we saw driving into the surrounding parts of outer London was astonishing. Practically one on every street.
Fantastic evening.

West Yorkshire/Manchester/South Yorkshire has a similar population and area to Germany's Rhine-Ruhr conurbation (which is Europe's most productive urban area).
Greenbelts are the culprit.
Same magnification.
It’s such a shame that Mr. Attlee decided no northern city could have the size or power of London. And that every subsequent Prime Minister has been too weak to reverse that consensus.

Surprise, surprise- she was a local councillor before she was an MP. This is a problem in both parties. Selecting "local campaigner" former councillors to be MPs produces poor MPs tunnel-visioned on petty local issues. MPs should be focused on national governance.

More "local campaigners" will be standing as MPs at the GE than ever before. They are often nimby, hyper fixated on local issues and largely unequipped to legislate on national and international issues, and for ministerial careers.
This is a larger problem than anyone realises.
Parliamentary candidate selections have become increasingly local in recent years. But is this now doing more harm than good?

Just had a dream that I was in London, and all trains were cancelled. Panicking, Rishi Sunak appeared from nowhere to reassure me that he was "doing everything he could" to resolve the issue. Then he left and I was mugged. My subconscious was scathing about the state of Britain.
