Look this wasn't so bad when everyone could maybe at least find locals to go to safely, but now that there is a fuckin pandemic, if your fighting game doesn't have an acceptable netcode it's as good as unplayable.
The discourse of "I'm NEVER buying a fighting game that doesn't have rollback" has been so weird ever since Guilty Gear Strive came out. It makes sense that you'd want a game to have the best netcode possible. But that doesn't mean games are dogshit if they don't have rollback.

Role lock had killed the fun for casual players. Keep that shit in competitive stop pushing comp features on casuals.
I think Marvel Rivals is pretty fun, especially the chaos of learning all the new heroes they added. But after this initial honeymoon phase wears off I think this game needs some form of Role Lock badly. It was NOT fun playing 0 tanks 4 dps 2 supports, or 1 tank 5 dps.
