Here's @TheGreenParty's official, democratically-decided, policy on trans and non-binary rights. Anyone publicly representing the Greens who undermines this is also undermining the majority of members who stand side-by-side with trans/nb people in their fight for equality π³οΈββ§οΈ

πππ. I'm absolutely thrilled about this! Thank you so so much to everyone who voted @greenoxford in Donnington - I can't wait to get stuck in on your behalf. And biggest of thanks to @rosierawle for being an amazing co-candidate, I really could not have done it without you π.
BREAKING: @TheGreenParty has gained a seat in Oxford, as @Lucy_1103 takes one of two seats up for election in Donnington ward from Labour. Find all the latest results on the Bright Green 2021 elections live blog. #LE2021 ππ³οΈ.

The actual 'scourge of our streets' are the people parking in cycle lanes, the ones who force us to ride in the gutter and the drivers who catcall female cyclists for daring to be active in public. Cycling is the future π²π²π².
Cyclists arenβt the βscourge of the streetsβ. They are mothers, fathers, grandparents and children all doing their bit to make Britain a healthier, greener and more liveable place. Share this video from @Chris_Boardman to help us make our message loud and clear to @channel5_tv

People in Oxfordshire don't want greyhound racing to return to our city. It's simple. That's why I've spent the past year working with Oxford Vegan Action, @LeagueACS, @peta and fellow cllrs @paulascachette and @LaurFou1, to stop this cruelty.

Unfortunately we ran out of time at tonight's full council to hear my motion on preventing the return of greyhound racing to Oxford. But it was great to see the cross party support for it - and thanks to @bethiatld for bringing her rescue greyhound to see us before the meeting!

Vandalism of the planters and bollards within the St Mary's LTN is unacceptable - residents shouldn't need to personally enforce traffic restrictions, putting themselves at risk. The LTNs are a trial. We must give them the time they need so we can see if they are a success.
5

66
Disappointed to see @OxfordCity pressing for an investment zone, despite firm opposition from @OxfordshireCC. These zones are a Tory scam, pushing growth at the cost of environmental protections, affordable housing, and local democracy. We must reject these across Oxfordshire.
4
12
62
Virtually all cllrs for the St Mary's LTN area support their introduction. Residents are tired of congestion, speeding through-traffic and awful air pollution - we know, because we've spent years consulting local people. Far from delaying, we need the LTN brought in asap.
We have written to Oxfordshire County Council to express our concern with the recommendation, published today, that the County Council plans to move forward with the implementation of the East Oxford LTNs in early 2022. We ask for this decision to be deferred.

Just to clarify, GP members cannot "bring the party into disrepute" - which basically means we can't publicly criticise specific members (and is why I haven't done so). But I'd like to see more from @carla_denyer and @AdrianRamsay to tackle the minority promoting transphobia.

Very pleased that tonight Oxford City Council unanimously backed mine and @chrisjarvisdiy's motion opposing the sell-off of the VMIC. Amazing campaigning from @We_OwnIt and @keepnhspublic on this - glad our city stands firmly against creeping privatisation of our health system.
Protest in Oxford against the sale of Harwellβs Β£200 million gov funded Vaccine Manufacturing & Innovation Centre. Itβs run as a not-for-profit company but is being sold to another company. The gov & VMIC say theyβre committed to keeping strong UK vaccine manufacturing capability

Today we stand up to hate and remember trans people who have died in the face of rising transphobia. Trans rights are human rights. On 29th Nov I'll present a motion on becoming a trans inclusive council. It's a small but vital step in supporting the trans community. #tdor2021

You may get a leaflet delivered today spreading misinformation about Oxford's proposed traffic filters scheme . This leaflet is distributed by climate change deniers who are stoking fear of action to reduce traffic. Check @OxfordCity for independent fact checking of the claims π.

Voting open NOW for @GreenPartyWomen π³οΈ. Disappointing to see I'm the only Woman of Colour standing as co-chair . But if elected I'm looking forward to working with a full slate of women who are truly intersectional in their feminism βοΈ

Youβll be sorely missed @CarolineLucas! . Campaigning for your reelection in 2015 was what got me into the Green Party, and youβve continued to be an inspiration as youβve fought for people and planet over the past decade. Parliament will be a lesser place without you there.
In 2010 #Brighton Pavilion made history by electing me UKβs 1st Green MP & itβs been the honour of my life. My open letter to residents & friends explains why Iβm not standing at next General Election. With love & gratitude, I hope I've done you proud π.

Academic freedom gives you no right to be transphobic. Student protest is not harassment. As a @SussexUni alumni, I'm ashamed of this statement. Kathleen Stock has no place at a university so many attend in hope of finding a haven to express their sexuality and gender identity.
In response to issues on our campus, our VC Adam Tickell has said: We are investigating activity on our campus which appears to have been designed to attack Professor Kathleen Stock for exercising her academic freedoms. [1/3].
