I lived through 19 years of a stalker. NINETEEN. Restraining orders. The FBI. Moving. Hiding. It only ended when he murdered another woman who had a TRO against him. His obituary noted he was a victim of “gun violence”. He shot himself after murdering her. He knew her 4 months.

Thank you. I've been doing it 30 years. I don't mean that as a brag. I mean that we're not getting much better at helping people before they go missing, in trouble, dead. It's pretty exhausting... particularly when you consider nearly 99% of us are volunteer/unpaid professionals.

They had ONE window - that they were in litigation & fired their whistleblower safety officer when he repeatedly pointed out it was only rated to approximately 1/4 the depth OceanGate planned on taking people. It was made of carbon fiber, not metal. When objected, he was fired.
