This is such a simple powerful graphic depicting a reality most of us are aware of and often forget: we never know what pain, distress others are experiencing at any moment in time. A little patience and empathy can go a long way. I also love that it brings a smile to my face.
In times of tragedy, don't mistake inaction for apathy. It's often the result of empathy.
Empathic distress is feeling helpless in the face of suffering. It drains us until we're numb.
You never know whose pain others are carrying. They may need compassion more than you
