@kiko_himself @nickcammarata Exactly. Sci-Hub still gives better results. Deep Research ends up on Mumsnet when it should be reading paywall journal articles.

@JoeWStanley @Wyefarm @herdyshepherd1 The 1% cut in your payments for every day your Mid Tier claim is late vs. no interest paid on payments that might fall between December and June is the sort of thing that really shouldn't be allowed.

I fear this is worrying close to the truth. Seems to fit with what @George_Osborne said on his podcast about the options presented to him when he was in charge.
@StuartMaggs V imp to see the treasury as 2 entities not 1, civil service entity and the political entity. Unfortunately for us, the civil service entity has believed in this tax for a while, and they’ve finally met with a political entity who dislike the people impacted enough not to care

@nickcammarata When you watch its thinking process & sources clock up to 10-15 etc., is it actually reading far more than that, and how much is it weighting its training knowledge (or however you call it) vs. new info from web search?

@MorlockP @slatestarcodex Coincidentally I have this tab open next to the one looking at booking a ski chalet next year for a family trip.
New post argues that it's deeply messed up (revealing a massive collective moral failure) that we can so easily do immense amounts of good.

@nabeelqu @_amankishore I found it would freeze with o1-pro but worked fine with 03-mini-high.

@steveridsda I was just thinking that. The timings seem a bit unhelpful. Given cereals were the most vociferous about level playing field issues, would have been nice to have had the AHDB report first and then that feed into the wider review.
@JRDSills @croftfootfarm We have commissioned a report, not identical to Beef and Lamb but similar.

Agreed. The only nod I saw towards concrete examples of a premium being offered was for environmental standards. The irony is that since the collapse of GFC, I have seen two examples (Warburtons and Frontier's malting barley contract) of a premium being paid for info. Would the way to resolve the tension be to have a basic level of assurance to satisfy no. 7 and then a paid top-up to satisfy no.4?

@croftfootfarm Excellent. Did that report cover cereals too? I thought AHDB cereals were doing something similar also.

@Johnstrak I was going to move on to discuss that, but needed to read the primary text a bit more carefully. However, your worry seems to be shared by Claude:
