Mum has dementia, comes to me each day. I wfh mostly. Only task she has left now is washing - the point of her day, every day. But she can’t do it so I organise the washing/drying to limit the damage & to pretend she is still helping me. I am very very tired

Going to pubs & bars sober is not for me. I’ve tried. Tried to build those ‘sober muscles’. By the time I’ve relaxed I’m bored. Some can do it, I can’t and don’t want to. Which is just fine 💯

I did 1st month alone, went to AA then with a good friend. Love the connection and have met some great people. But. I can’t get myself past the first step - bc I do not feel powerless. I do have the desire to stay stopped drinking. Anyone else?
