I did a thing today. I bought the top that shows my wobbly arms and that I’m clearly not a size 14/16/18 etc. etc.
I had a conversation with my GP this morning and she reminded me, life is way too short.
So. I’m going to wear the top, and the earrings and own it.

In January I joined a local running club with some mad idea that I might actually get my lardy arse around a track...back then I could barely run for 20 seconds. Tonight I ran 7K without stopping.

Four years ago today my Dad was killed in a road traffic accident. The pain & the grief is still as raw now as it was then. I never got to say goodbye or tell him how much I loved him. I miss him so very much...

Back in February I couldn't run for more than 20secs, in June I ran 1.2K for the first time without stopping, today in temperatures close to 26c I ran my first 10K race with a new PB!
The emotions are overwhelming, I am so proud of myself!

Super proud of myself...
7 weeks ago I was on crutches and wearing a leg brace, today I managed a brisk 1.2 mile walk.
Everything hurts but I'm so so happy.
I know it's not far in the grand scheme of things but it's a massive step for me.

I have really struggled with motivation the past 2 weeks, eating like a horse & very little running has seen me falling in to bad habits again. Tonight I dragged myself out & ran a decent 7K...more importantly I reminded myself on how bloody far I have come.

This morning I went back to running club. It was bloody freezing & it rained, I didn't run (baby steps) but I surprisely feel really positive about it all. Did what my knee would allow me to & that's all I can do, just got to keep trying...
