@RachelMComedy
That’s awful. The worst is when “progressive” men with advanced degrees sit around discussing nuances in Marxist theories of capitalist crisis as harried women dash about serving them coffee and refreshments and cleaning up. I can’t deal with it. I feel hypocritical so I go help.
@christoq
Japan cares about infrastructure and is forward looking. Our policies are determined by the short term profit considerations of the largest corporations.
@davenewworld_2
He clearly doesn’t understand economics. If he did he’d likely realize that giving $1.7 trillion in tax cuts to corporations so they could use most of it to repurchase their outstanding stock shares to boost the market does not create a better economy for the other 99% of us.
@EngelsFreddie
@WhiteHouse
This is actually my favorite video. The quiet part over a bullhorn! It explains everything about US policy there. It’s not about Jews, their survival or culture. It’s about US hegemony in a strategic region. He just admitted it. Here’s another guy that explained it the same way!
@AnnaSegur
@mehdirhasan
Gaza was actually sparsely populated before 1948. Two wars, 1948 and 1967, sent hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees into Gaza from the cities and villages from which they were expelled by Israel. That is the historic basis of high population density in modern Gaza.
@davenewworld_2
They’re marking people off. Your religious beliefs are on a license plate. Good luck getting pulled over as a non-believer. This is fascism.
@bachyns
@swordsjew
People have this bias against Medicare for all despite the fact that every day new evidence comes to light that we need it. Falling life expectancy rates are yet another example of why it’s necessary. M4A would lower US mortality rates with preventive care and regular checkups.
@Rebekahneeds420
There are collectively millions of cops, firefighters and military service personnel in the United States. They’re not even all white much less all white supremacists. As a progressive I’m beginning to get embarrassed by this abject nonsense. Please use some common sense.
@head_plank
@marclamonthill
Kinda like they did with “socialism.” Any policy can be smeared as socialist if republicans object. So like socialism, the term CRT just becomes used politically as a smear tactic.

I’m a pizza delivery driver with many years of service since 1985 and I support these claims. It’s a dangerous job. Food delivery workers are front line workers and deserve respect!

They want to control the narrative and are same folks who protest at school board meetings against assigning Holocaust readings. They don’t want to sensitize their kids about the issue of racism. They’ll only vote republican if they think the Holocaust was about big government.
@JarJarFan69
@vodkasnowflake
What’s going on. A random one bite pizza rep is taking it upon herself to just stock the freezer with a product without approval. Companies pay shelf fees to the grocery retailer in order to do this. Isn’t this shit illegal?!

@M1zzzaa
There’s no such thing as “fat phobia” at all. This wokeness in denial of medical science. Losing weight can be difficult so now people are stopping to this bullshit. Ignore it.

Mearsheimer’s views on regime change wars and subversion has been clear for decades. He confirms Kennan’s idea of mutually respecting stable spheres of influence. Calling him a Russian propagandist is tantamount to Cold War McCarthyite tactics and suppression of academic freedom.
@AntifaWitchH2O

There’s lots of gifs with POC that don’t promote stereotypes. Anger and disbelief are universal emotions by the way. Wokeness is getting to crazy.

Marvel censored Spiegelman who said, “In today's all too real world, Captain America's most nefarious villain, the Red Skull, is alive on screen and an Orange Skull haunts America...” the irony comes as Spiegelman cites the close friendship of Perlmutter (an Israeli Jew) w/Trump.
@michaelmalice
@JeffSharlet
Given that “taxation without representation is tyranny” is far more of a founding principle of our republic than gun ownership and that the founders were divided over the second amendment which was largely pushed by the slave states I’d say voting is much more important!

And not all of them benefit equally from the subsidies either. The Board members who are doubtless big shareholders benefit more than entry level workers.

But notice no one ever does that. Everyone drives but very few have private jets. The protesters combined climate crisis with economic inequality issues. There was definitely an anti-wall street aspect. The protest showed how wealth inequality is also a carbon footprint problem.

Don’t start with that gold standard shit. Inflation actually declined rapidly after 1985 after the Fed gutted the US economy with high interest rates. The middle class disappeared due to low wages, the disappearance of unions and middle skill jobs and chronic economic stagnation!
@the_lost_fae
@HannahntheWolf
Excuse us for misunderstanding Hannah’s intention after five years of identity politics waging a senseless war against Bernie Sanders and his movement for UHC, a federal job guarantee higher wages and free high ed for all those left behind by neoliberal capitalism. My apologies.

I agree with all these points. US underwriting of Israeli policy makes it chiefly responsible for pushing change there. But Saudi Arabia is the other big regional factor in US strategic and economic interests in the region. We underwrite both regimes and are responsible for both.

FDR had a meeting with Jan Karski of the Polish underground in June 1943 to tell him about the Warsaw Ghetto and Nazi genocide. FDR seemed incredulous and disinterested. In one interview, Karski said FDR seemed more interested in horses than Jews.

She IS right about this. I’m mad this has to be repeatedly explained so often and using so many different analogies. Black Lives Matter means Black Lives Matter too! Sadly this needs reiterating.

Wage theft is awful and a huge problem. In 2019, it peaked at $287 million. Actually thought it was more but it’s said to be a leading form of theft every year often out doing burglaries and armed robberies. A real disgrace!
@samstein
I don’t know where to start. Factually, it’s 100% wrong. Secondly, he accuses Jews of dual loyalty then gets mad they don’t support him strictly based on Israel. Crazy!
@l_ukas1_4
@davenewworld_2
Property taxes are high because corporate taxes and state income taxes are low. Property taxes, which are regressive, are making up for tax cuts in other areas. The rich are getting tax breaks on the backs of the middle class.

It also damages your kidneys in the process if your blood sugar reaches the point that your kidneys flush the sugar out instead of insulin bringing it to the cells to be metabolised out of your system.

I take “our way of life” to mean the old Jim Crow south with its segregated public facilities and sundown laws. True, they don’t all wear hoods anymore but he kkk is still among us. Trump’s presidency emboldened many of them to come out of their holes and run for elected office.
@kektings
@_natemorris
What difference does it make who mandates it. If the training saves lives it should be mandated regardless of the source of the mandate.
@ParkerMolloy
Well, the answer is that profit is the whole motive not saving lives when the production and distribution of pharmaceuticals is left entirely to the private sector. In the case of COVID19, a perceived national emergency, the government decided to act and absorb the costs.

@Jawn_Hancock
I never knew there even were snake emojis. My eyesight is bad from diabetes so to me they just looked like little green swans.
@Esqueer_
They put their faces on the internet. Law enforcement should look into these very unambiguous threats and by law enforcement I mean the FBI. These two admitted to intending to cross state lines to commit crimes of violence. That’s multiple felonies right there and an FBI concern!

The boomers were the authors of the New Left. Without their inspiration, millennials would not know whether to shit or wind their watch politically speaking. Just sayin’

The United States has a unique political spectrum. It’s much further to the right than in the EU. Bernie would be considered a moderate in Europe.

“The first amendment doesn’t allow for trucks blaring ice cream music that don’t carry ice cream!” Has a nice ring to it!
@dilanpcook
This is a very oblique way of saying 44 years of neoliberalism irrespective of administration. It’s the ruling class paradigm, not the parties, that matters. A falling rate of profit in the 70s was the impetus for the political shift.
@HannahntheWolf
@Rebieroo99
I’m not sure what your point is but it’s far better to have a disability in a system with universal health care than without.
@DAvallone

The French and British fought over territory in North America as did the Dutch and Portuguese in the Caribbean and Recife Brazil. These “new world” conflicts were extensions of conflicts and rivalries began in Europe. Alito seems to gloss over this as it’s politically convenient.

This is how they work. You’re told we can’t abolish an agency that’s actually creating the very problems they publicly claim they’re trying to resolve.
@AIPAC
@rudoren
@jdforward
AIPAC is neither “mainstream” nor “at the heart of many Americans Jews’ political identity.” Its an increasingly extremist group. I also believe it’s a tool of the US government to ensure congressional compliance with a pentagon agenda of securing US interests in the MIdeast.
@PaulaYankelove
@Acyn
How true! All you ever hear from republicans, who talk about being good Christians, is “I don’t wanna pay for your healthcare” “I don’t want to pay for your education” “I don’t want to pay for your [insert social good here]” even when it benefits all of society. A true community!
@PortiaMcGonagal
@acnewsitics
White southerners frequently make slavery and civil war references quite casually. It’s an ingrained part of the culture and they tend to relate everything to it. They’re still bitter about the civil war. Supporting trump is seen as a real victory for white southerners.
@jorymicah
The opposite is true. The FBI interrogated the “dancing Israelis” for weeks and then released them when their stories checked out. The FBI never claimed 911 was an inside job. They never released any such report. The official position on 911 was intelligence failure and still is.
