I brought @FloodCoalition to meet @IowaFloodCenter & Northeast Iowa Resources Conservation & Development at a field site in West Union yesterday to learn more about innovative flood mitigation practices. Ensuring #IA01 is prepared for flooding is a top priority for me!

Borrowed out the interseeder to a buddy this fall to seed rye stripes after potato harvest. I will strip till his fertilizer next spring for corn. Definitely looks like it worked out well for him. This potato field won’t be blowing away.

Our new research with @IowaStateU shows that multi-cropping could reduce flooding in Iowa’s Cedar River Watershed by up to 30%. This flood solution can benefit farmers, Iowa communities, and can help reduce flooding across the country. ⤵️ ⤵️

@AgNews_Otto Things went great till till she started trying to live above her means… and didn’t recognize the need to adapt If she’d learned how to generate the cash flow to cover inflation and cost of living increase she could’ve survive- But you can’t buy experience
