@Freemanski74 @YIMBYLAND Well, it was pretty cool if you’re rich. The roundtrip would’ve been about $20k per person in today’s money. Nowadays, rich people can (kinda) go to outer space

@ScottysCallinMe @mattyglesias @RichardHanania The right to seek asylum is one of the rights in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It’s literally heinous to deny people that right

@ben2calderon @FirstSportz_NFL @TonyGrossi His value is $125 million/5 years. The highest paid non quarterback. You don’t get paid that kind of money unless they’re damn sure you’re worth that much money

@SunBeltPolitics @StatisticUrban Look, Midwest winters aren’t great but my father in law lives in Phoenix and he describes it as “hell on earth” 6 months a year. Plus you have monsoons, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and haboobs (whatever that is). Thanks but no thanks

@SunBeltPolitics @StatisticUrban Who is hyping the Midwest? People here mostly apologize for it. When people visit, they probably leave saying, “yeah, that was exactly what I expected”.

@testtwit912 @SlayerRules_420 I think the video is reversed. You can see a letter B on the headstock that is mirror image reversed

@AlperKaanAnkara @queersocialism I take OP’s point, but no matter how skillfully written, these things are an exercise in making sense out of nonsense

@SteveKerins @MattZeitlin Ok, but that’s not the argument anyone is making. Grapes and pineapples are both fruit, but they taste way different. Tomatoes are technically fruit too, but if you put them in the fruit salad you might experience a little culture shock. Catch my drift?

@SteveKerins @MattZeitlin It just means being a “fish out of water”. Last month, the fam watched about 30 movies about a big city gal in a small town to learn the true meaning of Christmas

@mateosfo @devahaz @MattZeitlin The one thing New Yorkers have in common is they love to complain about New York. It’s a big reason why so many think people are basically living there against their will.

@TomConl70423809 @87cr250r @ATLCWorker So what? China has 20% of world GDP with 20% of the world population. The U.S. on the other hand has 25% of world GDP with just 4% world population. Growth is easy when you’re starting from a low point. $1 to $2 is 100% growth. China is still playing catch up.
