@WoodbineSB 2024 wagering handle is also down $21m or 6.2% to $319m. Interesting to note that Canadians (Woodbines highest margin market) wagered a whopping 10.9% less, down $8.4m. 🇨🇦's are clearly shifting their betting $'s away from Woodbine and their predatory takeout policies

@dennycaps1 @EJXD2 The game isn’t fair because of rebates. There is no room for rebates in a pari-mutual game. In @BH_BKing article he refers to to horse race wagering as “largely pari-mutuel”. What does that mean? It’s pari-mutual except when it isn’t?

The fact that this has happened many times in the past and there is no rule, is just another example of how poorly regulated the game is. #IamHorseRacing
If I was the owner, trainer or needed that horse to cash, I'd be upset too. What's done is done. I'm sure he feels beyond horrible. @luanmachado85 is a good rider and one of the nicest, most humble guys in the room. He made a mistake. Why do so many people feel the need to pile on?
