I think people don't get how important this movie's failure was. This was meant to start the DCEU, and they tried doing EXACTLY what MCU did, a flick about a classic, lesser known character with some recent success to draw on, as a funny jerk to hero tale, and it failed miserably
My sister walks in and says "I want to watch green lantern"
So I obviously say "why do you want to watch Green Lantern"
She says "it has Blake Lively, I want to watch all of mothers filmography"
