I prefer the G1 cartoon origin for cybertronians over the others its simple and actually makes sense contextually for why they turn into vehicles as former slaves for the quintessons. Plus the decepticons being leftover military bots is also a good origin for the war.

People hate beast wars? That’s insane to me.
-Transformers Prime is mid. -Always Optimus and Megatron kind of holds too much back storytelling wise. Bring on Rodimus vs Galvatron, Star Saber vs Deathsaurus, etc. -Megatron IS Robot Space Hitler and does not work as a good guy. He IS Galvatron. -Beast Wars is hated by too many younger fans. It SAVED the franchise. -The live action films objectively did NOT save the franchise. It was not failing when the first film came out. -Cyberverse was better than people give it credit for but it took until Season 2 to find its legs. -The franchise should take a Gundam like approach to fiction in animation. One series unrelated to others with new characters and concepts (Cyberworld looks to solve this issue). The other continues G1 post Rebirth and can incorporate characters from other timelines. -Fans are allowed to like and dislike what they want about the franchise, but should not attack each other when they don't agree. Learn to discuss respectfully and give constructive criticism. Something we ALL sometimes need a lesson or two in how to approach it, myself included.
