In advance of my debut article with
@FantasyPts
later today, 29.3 percent of Lamar Jackson's throws in Week 1 were behind the line of scrimmage. Last season, 16.6 percent of Jackson's pass attempts were behind the LOS.
@CWilliamsNFL
You could tell Stafford was feeling frenzied in the pocket. But this really shows just how much Stafford was feeling it and not going through his reads. Kupp appeared to be the default option almost regardless of the play design.
A few words/stats about Allen Robinson:
Two years ago, he was a 100-catch WR in a Foles/Trubisky-led offense. Now he can't separate?
Per NGS, he is getting an average of 2.2 yards of separation, which is more than Michael Thomas (1.8), Terry McLaurin (2.1) and Kyle Pitts (2.1).
What better news to get on Draft Day than to be invited to another draft day?
Thank you
@ScottFish24
and everyone else who is helping organize this great event again this year. It is always an honor. Hope to see a handful of you at the live event in Boston.
@evansilva
The guy who was not allowed to run his own offense in San Diego because of a certain offensive genius named ... wait for it ... Mike McCoy. Says a lot about McCoy, don't you think? 🤔
@BrettKollmann
I read something about Shanahan spending 90 minutes on one play. Some people might think that's overkill, but precision tends to lead to great execution.
Also, people really need to start appreciating the fact that mastering an NFL offense tends to take more than "a summer."

1/ I am pleased to announce I have agreed to join the
@FantasyPts
team. My goal with my new weekly column: watch every game and use the Data Suite to complement some of the observations/insights I make as a result. The article should hit the site on Wednesdays during the season.
@HolderStephen
I'm not sure what you said, but it's pretty impressive when you upset someone enough they want to boycott your FORMER employer. Kudos to you!
The official
#SFB14
preview. (OK, maybe that's a bit strong, but I will let you decide.)
Very proud of the work I put into this article. Also, check out the
@AllOutBlitzFF
for more SFB14 analysis tomorrow.
You think you have been waiting a long time? So has this guy. Today is the culmination of six weeks of projecting individual matchups and
#FantasyFootball
production. My process has helped me finish in the green all 24 years I have played.
A deep dive into the film and analytics for Tyrone Tracy, Chase Brown, Josh Downs and Tucker Kraft. I will guarantee you will learn something from this article:
@LRiddickESPN
I think I understand why people choose one side over the other (most don't want to put in the time to do both), but I've never understood why people feel compelled to dismiss the other side. Beyond that, I can't stand the level of arrogance most seem to have about "their side."
In advance of my debut article with

7/ Could Robinson have done things better through four games? Sure. However, I think it is telling when a QB who threw for 40 TDs last year goes two straight games w/o one. McVay is smart enough to figure this out, but the offense is broken until further notice.
I hate broadcasting my year-after-year success in fantasy football, but it appears that is the next step for me as I look to increase my foothold in the industry. Biggest investment/return in my career in 2023. I still have never lost more than I won in a season in 24 years.
This week, I am taking a look at the most prominent zone coverage shells being played today, their strengths and weaknesses and what beats each one. Next week, I'll take a good look at the receivers and tight ends who fared well against each one.
@ProFootballTalk
For those that don't remember, Burfict put on a ton of weight his final year of college and looked like he took plays off. And if a draft analyst calls a guy "undraftable" and he goes undrafted, then wasn't he right? It's not like Mayock handed this guy a five-year, $50 M deal.
Hey everyone: please give
@JJWenner
and
@DougOrth
a follow as we begin the
@AllOutBlitzFF
podcast on Tuesday, April 30 at 8 pm. Enter the mind of a high-stakes fantasy football player who has not had a losing money season in 24 years of playing for $$$$.
I am kicking off another year of my draft profiles with the presumptive No. 1 overall pick. Is he worth it? Are the comps to Patrick Mahomes accurate? As I always do with my profiles, I give you plenty of video evidence to draw your own conclusion, a grade and my analysis. Enjoy!
First rookie draft profile from
@DougOrth
has been posted! QB Caleb Williams under the microscope. Many more of these come as we gear up for the

Over the last few days, I have learned that you can gain a lot of followers, retweets and likes if you pass along trade speculation and promise to do stupid things based on Super Bowl predictions.
@4WhomJBellTolls
This is the one thing I don't understand with all the Achane love. People want to keep talking about Achane's volume increasing. At whose expense?
Miami did not trade a 2025 pick to redshirt Wright IMO.
Also, that o-line will not be as good as it was last season.
This week on
@thealloutblitzff
we welcomed
@rotobuzzguy
... let's just say comedy ensued.
I also introduced a phrase that I hope one day inspires a generation ...
#BigFantasy
(working on the trademark).
I'm proud to say that I will be contributing multiple
#fantasyfootball
articles every week during the NFL season to
@Sportskeeda
Please check out my first article with them:
As promised on the Rotowire pod I did with the great
@JimCoventryNFL
earlier this week, here are a few thousand words to help you make money this weekend.
Some of my best work in the 15 years I have done this postseason column.
@DrakeFantasy
1/ It's been said that character is what you do when no one is watching. I never watched The Truman Show, but I have long found the concept of pretending as if there is always at least one camera on me to be a good way to live my life.
Kicking off my preseason writing schedule today for
@FF_Today
with offensive line analysis for the AFC. I can assure you there aren't many analysts in the
#fantasyfootball
industry that account for (and project) offensive line play as I do here.
2/ He is tied with Mike Evans (2.2) and a hair below DK Metcalf. His releases have been beautiful to watch at times. With that said, Robinson's game has never really been about creating Diontae Johnson or Antonio Brown-like separation. He has long relied on his size.
I love fantasy football pods that entertain a bit and inform a lot. I think
@JJWenner
and I do that on the
@AllOutBlitzFF
every week. This week's guest
@fornekdf
brought it on both accounts about a terribly under-discussed important part of our hobby: offensive line play.
What do sharks do on weekends? They draft!
I took part in one of the six live Pros vs. Joes drafts - hosted by the
@FFPC
- last Sunday night (July 30). I also took some time to share my thoughts about how each team approached their draft.
Give it a read:
3/ This stuff is never as easy or as hard as folks make it. It is damn near impossible for a WR to get taken out of the game in today's NFL if the OC and QB really want to make him a thing. Have you seen Robinson in motion or working as the trail in a bunch formation this year?
4/ I haven't.
It has been comical to watch at times. Stafford's first look has been to the opposite side Robinson is on what seems like 90 percent of the time. Once the Rams enter the red zone, you can bet one of the next 2-3 plays will be an end zone fade.
I highly encourage any of you in auctions to read my annual auction article before your draft this weekend or next. There is something in here for everyone:
I will be making a big professional announcement tonight on the
@AllOutBlitzFF
(set to hit the
@IDP_Plus
tomorrow morning).
Trying not to bury the lede ...
@jorgemartin17
joins us to discuss QBs. In his words (sorry for any copyright infringement, Jorge) ... salud!
I spent the better part of Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon hammering this out. Please check out my work at
@FF_Today
- I am in the middle of creating 10 Big Boards (one each for PPR, 0.5, NPPR, SF and
@FFPC
and their updates) - and hit me up with any questions.
@JFowlerESPN
@Schultz_Report
OK, I'll admit something that will be hard for others to say. I like what the Commanders are doing so far. Nice work, Adam Peters & Co.
Catch me around 7:30 pm ET tonight when I appear on the
@FantasyAlarm
Sirius XM show with
@rotobuzzguy
and
@CoopAFiasco
We discuss where "Big Fantasy" is leading us astray this summer ...
Getting around to this a little later than I wanted to, but I am once again privileged to be invited to participate in one of the best parts of the fantasy industry ...
#SFB13
.
Many thanks
@ScottFish24
Love auctions!! Just finished a $500 draft:
Hurts - $9
CMC - 56; Barkley - 38; Gordon - 9; Abdullah - 1; B. Robinson - 2; Gus - 1
A. Robinson - 20; E. Moore - 14; DHop - 16; Renfrow - 12 - Toney & Olave - 6; Julio - 4
Ertz - 2; Albert O - 1
Tucker - 2
49ers - 2
What do you think?
6/ Feel free to rip this "logic" apart all you want. The line is a problem and I think Stafford knows he doesn't have time. What I don't get is that a QB with a history of trusting his guy in contested catch situations should thrive with a contested catch guy like Robinson.
Non-PPR should be on the site tonight ot tomorrow morning.
Here is the PPR version:
If given enough time, I can send you an updated version since I am working on it every day for the next 1 1/2 weeks.
My latest and greatest contribution to
@FantasyPts
:
I take a deep dive into Tony Pollard, Sean Tucker, Calvin Ridley and Demario Douglas. There's something for everyone in here.
As always, big h/t to
@FantasyPtsData
@evansilva
I hate to burst everyone's bubble who might be reading this, but I'd venture a guess and say roughly half of NFL analysts probably don't watch more football than the fan who camps out in front of his/her TV on Sunday and watches the tripleheader each week. (1/2)
Looking forward to seeing the reaction to the latest
@AllOutBlitzFF
episode.
@JJWenner
and I broke down what your draft plan should be from the early (1-4), middle (5-8) and late (9-12) draft slots. I bet everyone who listens will learn something. Look for it Thursday morning.
This is the kind of thing that should make Downs great in fantasy when he gets healthy. Teams do not want to play zone against Richardson and Downs should be the team's best zone beater.
Playing man coverage against the Colts is suboptimal.
The next step for Anthony Richardson is to grow as a rhythm passer so zone is less of an answer. And that's where Josh Downs will help.
@RotoPat
But hey, America is getting football!!!
I really wish the league would end TNF (or at least make it so teams could play on Thursday coming off a bye).
But I know there are roughly a billion reasons why TNF won't stop anytime soon.
@high_hopes77

We need teams to use preseason for what it was meant for ... getting players ready and their timing down. Everyone is so worried about injuries now that September is basically an extension of the preseason.
@bykevinclark
It's a prime example of owners (or his late dad, in this case) buying a team more as an investment and not being in it to compete. There's no way Easterby sticks around if Cal McNair has the pulse of his team. How is it possible for one exec to alienate both of his best players?
@HolderStephen
I don't think it is a coincidence that both topics are ones in which ignorance has played a key role ... as is usually the case with anger-producing topics.
Imagine if there was one place where you could find projected carries, targets and shares of both AND see how they fit into a team construct. Well, it's your lucky day!
@danwiederer
I thought the NFL did away with the Sunday night ---> Thursday game a few years ago after the last team complained about the competitive disadvantage of such a short turnaround.
On this week's
@alloutblitz
,
@JJWenner
and I execute the draft plans we discussed last week. You will get to see how at least a high-stakes player/analyst (a very successful one, I might add) thinks during a draft and how the Big Board helps me each step of the way.
In advance of my Week 3 Film + Analytics piece for
@FantasyPts
, you might be interested to learn that not one Bears RB is averaging even one yard before contact. Or that Jauan Jennings' game last week was only the 19th time a player posted an 11-175-3 line or better.
Please tune in. Hutch may be young, but he is sharp. Another thing I hope we can highlight during the show is how impressive Andy's (dad) support for his son truly is.
I have done this set of articles for 10 years and I think it is some of the best stuff I do - and maybe some of the more unique
#fantasyfootball
analysis - that you will find at a time of year when we all can use an advantage:
