Is there any boss in the soulsborne series that you believe is perfect? My 2 picks are Messmer and Godfrey. From design, moveset, music, lore and difficulty perspective there isn't anything I would change about them.

This is what drives me nuts, the exploration is good because its so easy to miss stuff, its why the exploration is so rewarding. The more hand-holding the worse the exploration gets. People need to put some effort when playing games or everything will be slop.

I swear these posts are made by people that never played a souls game because this boss gives you so many openings its insane, the only phase where finding an opening is hard is the lightning phase because you can get clipped.

What are you even saying they reuse in every single game like crazy, Sekiro is one of the shortest games and they reuse every single enemy. You get to yhargul and you are still fighting the same enemies from central yharnam. Lets not even talk about DS1 and Lost Izalith.

Yep, elden ring is filled with political and character conflicts. Like its a huge family drama and i think its done amazingly well. Its also something that is not quite present in older games(You can make an argument for sekiro as well).

her story was over in the base game, what is there to mention. They confirmed she is the younger sister of messmer, and that she is the daughter of marika. Also frenzied flame ending on a cliffhanger is a lot more interesting.

Nah you see scott, i saw a ghostflame dragon which means this DLC is unplayable. I don't care about 10 remembarance bosses, 3 legacy dungeons and all the unique enemies in the DLC. That one dragon is ruining my immersion.

Its an open world game with over 200+ unique enemies, there legit isn't a single game that has better enemy variety than Elden Ring both in terms of quality and quantity and you want to bash that? Really? When older(linier) games reuse just as much, be for real brother.

Its an amazing mechanic, it rewards you even more for exploring which is the core part of ER. If you are good enough go ahead and fight the boss. Nothing is stopping you, but this world was made to be explored and enjoyed and not rushed through.

Calling it overrated i can see, saying it was dissapointing i can understand even tho i don't agree. Calling it bad tho is just a garbage take, can't think of 3 other expansions that have so much content in them on such a high quality level. Keep the engagement farm i guess.
Man, I still can't get over how bad and disappointing Shadow of the Erdtree was. Quite possibly the most overrated expansion in video game history.

Agree with this, wish ER had something like this as well.
I like DS2’s mechanic of having enemies despawn if you kill them too many times. It was rewarding when boss run backs would become easier and I like that they add a mechanic that allows you to restore them

What is crazy to me is how confident you people are at being this bad(might just be stupidity). You have million different ways to approach each boss, each delayed attack is an opening, each combo gives q punish window. This game lets you do fully charged R2s on each boss.

At least it had some enemies and the visuals are really cool, in DS2 and DS3 its just a corridor and they are both pretty basic(DS3 has a whole kingdom collaspsing behind you so i guess its not that basic but it still could have been a level).

What a garbage take, enir ellim is harder than 99% of the levels in the series. Those spira mages are op af. Shadow Keep has fire knights that are mini boss level strong and belurat has those hornsent chads. If you just run through, every level in the series will be easy.

Not every single boss needs a cut scene, just having that entire build up, going to finger ruins and doing that whole questline IS THE BUILD UP.
It's crazy how this character recontextualizes the entire Elden Ring story but they don't have a cutscene or anything

Honestly i don't think ER needs a sequal but if they want to do something with it, just make another DLC. I'll wait 2 more years for another banger like SotE, the world is already there you can just build up on it. Still i do feel like the story of ER is finished.
I think that due to investor pressure, we will get an Elden Ring 2 that will be to Elden Ring what Dark Souls 2 was for Dark Souls, for better or for worse.

Messmer on RL1
This was the hardest fight so far but it was also my favorite, took around 4 hours worth of attempts. Scary combos and mix ups but the fight just has a perfect flow to it. Wouldn't change a thing about him.
