That's why Lies of P is the goat. At no point in the entire game you need to farm anything. All loot is from chests.
No more farming for covenant items or some weapon with 3% possibility of drop.

Wrong. There are multiple attacks where she doesn't have poise armor. All it takes is experimenting with her moveset. You can also jump attack over some of her swings and stop her combos.

There's also the positioning aspect of ER, which many action games don't have. You can manipulate the bosses if you know where you're standing.

This unique enemy is so good, it could very well be a boss, it even has a phase 2. I wouldn't mind if it was used in a few catacombs/caves replacing Ulcerated Tree Spirits.

Fought Rellana again on my second playthrough and oh my god, what a masterpiece of a boss fight. The flow of combat is unmatched, and the phase 2 OST is super hype.

Midra felled. Wow. From all the bosses in the DLC so far, I think this one was the closest to become my favorite. I just wish he was more difficult, and don't get me wrong, he's no pushover, FAR from it... but the other main bosses were harder. Still, that moveset is pure art.

Fromsoft recognizes hardcore players since at least DS2, where you get a special animation after beating Sir Alonne hitless.
They don't make complex boss movesets for summons to tank it for 3 minutes, they make them for human players to learn and master them.
whenever i see this sentiment (it's normally about souls games) i'm reminded of this comic from

This is crazy, specially when you realize how big Limgrave is (and in this image you can only see half of it).
Miyazaki wasn't lying when he said Elden Ring's DLC was "about the same size as Limgrave."
He just forgot to mention that they stacked 5 Limgrave's on top of eachother.

Better than the Dark Souls trilogy 🫢
nearing the end of my 2nd playthrough and Lies of P remains one of the best games I've ever played. Easily in the same league as Fromsoftware's games imo. Plus, I have no doubt we haven't seen the best from Round8 yet.

On my first playthrough I was left with 1 HP after fighting Tauros Demon. Naturally, the dragon killed me without having a chance to do anything, so I had to do that awful runback again.
I don't see how that's brilliant. It just a wasted of time. DS1 got lots of those.

It probably gets countered by eri's quirk, but only if you have previous knowledge of it, of course.

Metyr felled. I love a dose of cosmic horror in my souls games. I like how unique some of her attacks are. Doesn't have many melee attacks, but they're entertaining. It's basically a better Astel. This whole quest was fun.

Sekiro bosses have counter-attacks after they parry/block your attacks. Sure, you can put Genichiro in a loop, but that's not what stunlocking means.
That also doesn't apply to Dark Souls and Elden Ring bosses at all, but nice try, trying to nitpick something.

Can't be called combat if there's no back and forth between you and the enemy/boss.
Juggling inoffensive mobs is basically a basketball simulator, not an action game.
We need less souls-likes and more games with combat like this.

What part of that is memorable? You're seeing things that aren't there. DS3 also did the exact same thing with the dragon, it's not that deep.
Just because you lack the skill to play these games to their full potential doesn't mean they're simple.

Does this game only has 5 bosses or what? Every single clip I see of this is always the same guys (Dragon/ogre dude, bird).
Coolest thing I’ve done in Dragons Dogma 2 is push a cyclops off a clip, grab him as he falls & sinks into the water, only to land in front a cave that I’d have 100% missed otherwise.

Kai Cenat is fighting Fire Giant at 92 hours. Considering that he's hitting him in the nose instead of the hands, and there are 5 more bosses, I don't think he can finish in 8 hours.
