Chrissy Teigen accidentally spending $13k on a bottle of wine is relatable bc I once spent tens and tens of thousands on a master’s degree only to become disillusioned by the field less than three years later.
I’m really loving this resurgence of the Puerto Rican flag with a light blue triangle. That was the original before it was changed to dark blue to match the shade on the US flag.
This is disgusting, not in our name. The Texas synagogue I am part of has a task force HELPING Afghan refugees in Austin. This is not what we need right now, this is not solidarity with us.
Here I’m gonna be more blunt about it, I don’t feel comfortable having mutuals who follow this guy, his jokes keep popping up on my feed and a lot of them are Antisemitic and racist. I know some of y’all might have him muted or me muted or w/e but now y’all know.
@William_E_Wolfe
I’ve seen a lot of obtuse things on this app but this takes the cake. You did not just compare literally owning people to someone getting married. Please, you’re not cut out for political conversations.
Yesterday I learned that Debbie Friedman was part of the queer community and her melody for Mi Shebeirach coming out during the height of the AIDS epidemic was not a coincidence. I’m going to hold onto extra depth and connection every time I sing it now. Good Shabbos.

I had heard about his partner from the grapevine a while back and I was wondering if he was going to talk about it. I assumed it would appear in one of the essays about love and heartbreak but I didn’t see it. I’m glad he is open to talking about it but actually seeing it hurts🥺
@JoshMBlackman
Your premise is completely off. There are non-Orthodox people who don’t follow any sort of halacha at all. Many also just interpret Jewish law *differently.* To say we don’t follow Jewish law is incorrect. We don’t follow the *Orthodox* version of Jewish law.
@moisturizeds
Excuse me ma’am, not to be disrespectful or rude but could you please take post down. That is my sister who was killed by a metra train. And it this post is very disrespectful. Idk who you are or if you even know her but I need you to take this down please.
Someone who goes to Chabad (is not Chabadnik himself) came up to be because of my tallit at the rally and said that our town’s Chabad is open to all Jews (glances at my rainbow ring) “including LGBT Jews” he also said “As long as you’re not a Jew for Jesus!!” I felt that.
Reform Judaism is not a synonym for “secular” or “less religious,” it’s quite literally a religious movement that just has different takes on Jewish law than the other movements.
OH I have thoughts. Judaism is heavily ritualistic compared to some religions and in secular society only “heavily religious” people usually are ritualistic about it whereas even secular Jews often practice ritual.
@davidrxse
I realized this a few years ago when someone called Sufjan Stevens “literally a t*rrorist” for having a pro-LGBTQ song even though he’s not out as gay. And on the flipside Janelle Monáe had queer themes before coming out. Is it “queerbaiter until proven otherwise”??? or??? mess
My mom is now in the ER with shortness of breath, they’re doing tests on her right now so they don’t know if she has it, but had direct exposure to COVID-19 through two co-workers, keep her in your thoughts/prayers/vibes
Bless my mom, she’s a nurse at a hospital and she has some of the same chronic conditions as me that would make catching COVID-19 very difficult, but she’s still out there because she has patients that need her.
