Question to CEO: “Will I be reporting directly to you? If not, how many layers between us? I ask because I’ve had five interviews, you’re my sixth, so it does make me wonder about your hiring practices and employer branding.”
“Meeting the CEO next. I’ve been through 5 interviews and a project. What questions should I ask?” Ask them why their hiring process sucks.

The ad agency that came up with this music needs to be fired and quickly. Yes, it’s that bad. Also, this hashtag is not trending: #LincolnAviator Add tag or QRCode to your TV commercial to drive traffic.

Your advice is sound, but she is so focused on equine fatalities, she can’t see the forest through the trees. Public opinion of horse racing is at an all-time low and she’s under tremendous pressure to turn it around and now.
Great news, @LisaLazarusCEO!!!!! There are issues where I have strongly disagreed with HISA. But even when I disagree, I want to be very clear…I like Lisa a lot, I respect her 100% and I don’t think anyone else could have been in this position and done what she has done in her first year. When HISA has been wrong or made mistakes, Lisa has not only been flexible, but she’s also been willing to change. These are strong qualities in a leader. HISA may have taken some missteps and, at times, I feel there’s been a disconnect from the number one goal everyone agrees with - catching cheaters. There remains a big gap between the three main entities which impact HISA’s implementation: tracks, testing and the trainers. We need to continue to be flexible but maybe an additional 30 day grace period before someone is officially suspended. The burden on our trainers is greater than ever. Their careers are literally on the line, all the time. I don’t know how some trainers sleep! Tracks have almost no requirements to maintain clean and easy access to bathrooms for backstretch workers, or to provide sanitized receiving barns or to provide WiFi for horsemen to install cameras. That’s not fair!!!!! Testing accuracy is better than ever, thresholds are low and in some cases, zero. They must be raised. Some of these low level thresholds are dangerous to the sport, the horseman and even the horses reputation. It is easier than ever to pick-up a contamination positive and yet the tracks are not held accountable to upgrade where needed. This needs to change. It is also clear that further research on new banned substances especially the ones with no proof of enhancing performance must be required. When I first spoke to Lisa almost 18 months ago, I suggested that HISA launch with a soft opening. Take 6 months to work out the kinks in the system. Perfect processes. Crawl before you walk. It would have made for a smoother transition than we’ve experienced. I remain optimistic about our future and seeing numbers like these should give all of us hope!!!!! LFG!!!!!

I agree. The thing that bothers me is that these people were summarily dismissed out of the process just because they were too thoughtful. Geesh!
@CyndyTrivella That’s for the best. No one wants to look for another job in less than a year.

Well, a couple of reasons. 1) Because it requires money to live, and 2) it beats ending up in prison for stealing it. Now that’s out of the way, shall I tell you where I want to be in 5 years? 😩 #jobs #hiring #recruiting #jobinterview
