Misinformed take: comparing Tesla’s Optimus commercialization in controlled private enterprise settings to life-risking FSD on public roads. Humanoid sector at large starts meaningful pilots in ‘24, commercialization by ‘26 at the latest.
There are a lot of overly optimistic Tesla fans who think the Optimus Robot is about to enter volume production, but that's just not true. It will likely take another 5 to 10 years of development before it can even be considered for commercial use.
