Good morning East, Horn, and Southern Africa. This is my second day in Nairobi as the Regional Director. I am looking forward to working with the region’s people, IOM staff, governments, donors, our sister UN agencies, and partners to advance the region’s goals and objectives.
As sit in the aircraft looking out the window, I reflect on my six years in Nigeria. I am reminded of the resilience of the people, the beauty of the country, the bravery of my colleagues. Nigeria, I will miss you dearly. My colleagues, you’re in my heart forever.
