Both my step dad in his 60s and Mom in mid-late 50s are retiring. Realized if they lived modestly like they did during Covid, which they realized they enjoyed, they don't need to work anymore based on savings. My guess they are part of the largest group not going back.

Stop turning your fields into smaller fields and look at fertility to determine variability... look at your yield maps, see long term variability, understand the variability, proceed with inputs accordingly. Stop spending money on acres that do not give you a return.

I've seen the plant "rob" from the tillers when it starts to get stressed. Tillers are first to go as rest of plant will stay green for much longer period of time. I don't know of anyone that has proven they are beneficial nor detrimental.
