Poor urban design! I bet, You can't even walk safely in a 500 mts radius from your house. Why would anyone jog or cycle? For India to fix it's health immediately, it's need to become people centric, cycle friendly asap!

As you experience a heatwave, India, planting trees are the most effective way to cool a city. Medellin, Colombia planted 880000 trees in green corridors alongside sidewalks & canals, to circulate cool air. Reduced heat, improved air quality and health. Plant trees, revive canals

When is the car brainrot ending in blr??? Why not invest in buses bus lanes and cyclelanes and tendersure footpaths? The ones near St Mark's look brand-new even though they are like 5 year old. Invest in people centric infra and not this car centric garbage.

So in 6 months we would have a new tunnel road taking us across the city in 10 minutes? I would rather not comment on the above ground technical challenges...but this date of completion is such overconfidence, it's a joke! #bengaluru #tunnelproject #congress

Tractors, tankers, and super-intelligent autos are the reasons behind the traffic deadlock in the absence of traffic police on the road! This was the scene this morning on Gear School Road, near Panathur Cross, ORR. @blrcitytraffic @Jointcptraffic #BengaluruTrafficJam

Kinda sad how many useful bmtc routes we've lost to carcentrism the narrow roads were wide enough, but thanks to car brains parking on the roadside making it impossible for buses to move freely.

Remember, Paris wasn’t “always this way.” It wasn’t even this way in late 2019 when I was last there. Just a few years ago, #Paris was choking in car traffic much more. This is new. This is leadership. Cities are a result of choices. HT @Khayat_Fouad

One of the reasons why I feel the IT crowd doesn't seem to assimilate in Bangalore like the previous wave of migrants, they probably have the least interactions with anyone Thanx to automobiles, living in sprawled areas makes it even worse.

Why is the result in UP so unexpected? Last I knew, the BJP built the Purvanchal, Bundelkhand Expressway, AIIMS in Raebareli and Gorakhpur, made airports in towns like Kanpur and Ayodhya, and renovated cities like Varanasi. What went wrong ?

Bangalore might even have the highest car brains in the country? Ugh. This is what very less public transit does to a city. Bangalore needs to triple it's bus fleet and create more suburban rail infra. Bring trams and pedestrian hearts in the city.

Also, the new bmtc low floor buses are absolute game changers! I've been seeing so many happy faces talking about how nice the bus feels for them. This what we need, excellent comfortable public transportation. @BMTC_BENGALURU Please maximize your fleet.
