Proverbs 31:25 “She is clothed with strength and dignity”. The woman described here is not weak, she runs the household, works hard, she’s successful in commerce, running at least two businesses and has time to laugh! Weak? I don’t think so.

Aside from the awful theology, has he never seen a woman give birth, or defend her family, or raise a family alone? The day my daughter was born was the day I realised I was capable of killing. And I nearly died to ensure she was born.

This is on behalf of my husband. His father facilitated the building of this gorgeous house of God. It was built by Italian POWs in WWII, basically from spare parts. The Italian Chapel in the Orkney Isles.

Final year theology student and ordinand here. I have a prayer that works in all situations and at all times - lost keys, broken hearts, assignment deadlines. It is theologically and doctrinally sound. Can be used by all denominations. “Oh God, help me.”

Interesting day today. The insults that have been thrown at me by many have ranged from the ridiculous to the outrageous. Why are trans, Jewish, left-wing, LGBT ally considered insults? People telling on themselves for their bigotry and hatred.

I was very glad of my schoolgirl Latin when my daughter was ill in France. Her symptoms were too complicated for my French, then it dawned on me that lots of medical terms derive from Latin. Problem solved. Me and the Rasputin look-alike GP did just fine.

Ministry takes many forms, and many outfits. Sometimes it’s jeans and a pink scarf, sometimes it’s sweeping the floor in a Christmas dress, rainbow T-shirts for Pride, or serving in a cassock alb. Whatever it looks like, it is ministry.
