Britain has a weird obsession with a period of about 9 months in 1978/9 when there were a few public sector strikes, in a way it never has had about the years of the 80s which saw entire communities devastated, horrific inner city rioting & explosions in crime, addiction etc OR >
When the NHS was fully funded, we were still in the EU, mortgages were affordable to ordinary people, social housing existed, you had the right to protest, people could afford to heat their homes *and* buy food, further education was free and TOTP was still on.
