Our farm usually contracts out the trucking of grain to the elevators. Just got our bill for 15 B-train loads which included a separate entry for Carbon Tax for over $1000.

This bottle used to cost $20, now $72. Enuf vitamins plus Bovashield & Ivermect to do our 430 head herd will cost $7000. Will have to sell 7 calves to cover that. B4 only a couple calves would cover our vet bills. Farmers don't recoup these losses.

The Great Roundup is finished for 2023. Brought in over 400 head of calves split into steers, heifers, smaller feeders, and replacement heifers. They're full of milk, oats, & grass, weighed up & ready for the trucks Wed/Thur. Excellent grp, the buyers will be happy.

Why do people insist that there's a lot of 'runoff'? If ur talking granular, it's placed with the seed, anhydrous would offgas if applied improperly, liquid manure has set times of the yr for application. Zero farmers intentionally waste fertilizer & work hard to keep it.
